on top of this, luther himself thinks of himself as their protector, clearly WANTING to live but putting alice’s life above all else and so anything he wants comes second.. and i think it would be really really sweet and a touching moment for him to see kara, his first friend, truly without a second thought put her life on the line to protect him from oncoming danger or an attacker. showing to him that while yes they both have the shared goal of getting alice to live no matter what, kara also sees HIM that way
