hello, hellians, and welcome to the sole purpose of creating this blog. now, first things first: this is not a y/n fic. i did create an oc, and that is because i don’t like writing y/n. will this hurt my chances of finding an audience? yes. do i care? no. i love posting everything i write, so either read it or don’t just don’t get on my ass for not writing in the y/n format as i just hate it so much. anyways, on with the show.

Heaven and Hell - Prologue

word count: 840

characters: eddie munson, ella ward (oc), ethan ward (oc)

synopsis: the ward twins are new to hawkins and are still getting used to the new normal. an exciting opportunity and a brief introduction to a neighbour bring a change to the mundane.

Hawkins, Indiana. Not the most ideal place to move to, especially considering all that happened in the news that year. With the Hawkins Lab shutting down and the mall burning down, it hadn’t been in the media’s good books in several months. 

It was also freezing, as it was January. Moving to Indiana hadn’t been on Ella’s plans for 1986, let alone Hawkins. The locals weren’t really friendly to newcomers, as a lot had happened in the past few months and the previous “newcomers” had all been news reporters or crisis tourists. The most recent newcomers to actually stay had been the Hargrove-Mayfields, and the son had died in the mall fire. 

How would Ella ever top that? Maybe sacrifice her own brother just to match the vibes around town. 

“You’re too quiet,” Ethan’s voice spoke up, interrupting Ella’s thoughts and making her jump in surprise. Her brother laughed at her reaction, turning down the radio system as they drove down the unfamiliar road leading to their equally unfamiliar trailer. Already been a month and it still feels foreign. 

Ella huffed softly in response and leaned her head back on the window, returning to the position she had been sitting in before. “Yeah, well, not much to talk about when our days just look the same. Wake up, go to work, come home, practice, sleep, repeat.”

Ethan laughed at his sister’s melancholy outlook. “Well, that’s about to change,” he grinned at her, speeding up a little bit. He must have been excited if he was eager to get home. “Because we finally found a bass guitarist. And you know what that means?”

Ella blinked a little bit at the news. Her shift at Melvald’s General Store had been so boring that she hadn’t even thought about their search for a bassist once that day. “Wait,” she responded quickly, before a grin spread across her face. “You found one?”

“You bet your ass I did,” Ethan grinned in response, tapping his fingers excitedly on the steering wheel. “And on Friday at the bar downtown, Passionhead makes their debut in Hawkins, Indiana!”

“Okay, we still need a better name,” she laughed loudly, but still did a little happy dance in her seat as they pulled up to their run-down little trailer. “But that just means we’re one step closer to moving out of the Forest Hills Trailer Park: where cockroaches are more comfortable than the tenants.”

Ethan rolled his eyes as he put his beater into park, pulling the door handle and kicking it open all while unbuckling. “Hey, Passionhead is gonna come around to you one of these days. It’s a great name.”

“Yeah, you keep telling yourself that,” Ella sighed softly as she too got out of the car, having to reach out the open window and pull it open from the outside since the inside handle didn’t work. “Maybe we’ll get rich enough to get a new fucking car.”

“Hey, don’t say that in front of Susan.”

“I still can’t believe you named it.”

“Her.”

As the twins walked up their front steps, bickering the entire time about their shitty car and even shittier living situation, they both turned their heads when they heard screeching tires approaching the trailer park. A van in even worse condition than Susan ripped down the thin gravel road and parked in the lawn of a trailer only three lots down despite the driveway being completely open. Ella stopped as Ethan pulled out their house keys, just watching to see who would exit. 

A man no older than they hopped out and slammed the door, giving the roof of the van two slaps before leaping up the steps of his trailer. He sported long, dark curly hair with bangs across his forehead. If it had been a woman, it would’ve looked completely normal but seeing as this was a man, it gave Ella the clue that he was also a fan of metal and rock and roll. He also wore ripped jeans, a leather jacket with a jean vest over it, as well as a white shirt with some sort of devil graphic on the front. 

He was endearing. Even in the dark, Ella could tell he was handsome. 

“Hey,” Ethan spoke up, making her jump once more and turn to him quickly. He chuckled, looking over at the man as he entered his own trailer, before looking back at his sister. “Stop drooling and get in the house. It won’t be my fault if you freeze to death.”

“I wasn’t drooling!” Ella screeched at him before grabbing her brother by the collar of his shirt and practically launching him inside. With one more look over her shoulder, looking towards the man who had now gone into his trailer, she entered their own and shut the door behind her. With a turn of the lock, it was back to business as usual but now with the exciting addition of looking forward to their first ever gig. 

Maybe Hawkins wouldn’t be that bad after all.

I don’t know @spiritualchange and up until this point I had no issue with them. I’ll admit- this post weirded me out- this place has been weird lately. So, because this is a fun hobby for me and a safe space, I decided to block this person and go on with my day.

Spiritualchange did not follow me and has never engaged with any of my fics- including the Lucky Charms AU.

So tonight I get flooded with asks from people letting me know this person has since made a baskball AU with similar pairings and troupes- that’s OK- I don’t own troupes/nicknames or pairings… but what I do own is specific plot lines/ideas that I have written.

So here we go… My story was posted on December 20, 2021 and her’s was posted March 8, 2022.

So fast forward to the end of each fic:

In my fic Coach B’s players and Andy find out that his sweetheart still has his home jersey.

i wrote a post about plagiarism here about a year or two ago and whenever shit like this happens, i encourage everyone to read it. it’s about plagiarism vs parody (or taking inspiration from another work) so please i encourage everyone to read it.

and i do mean everyone. some of y’all still be winding and straight up stealing work.
