Today (June 16th 2022), the Parliament of Catalonia has officially recognised that Israel commits the crime of Apartheid on Palestinian people, which is a crime against Humanity.

It is the first European parliament to recognise this.

The same Parliament proposal also says that any agreement or action taken by the Government of Catalonia in relation to Israel has to have at its centre that the human rights of the Palestinian people are respected and to not contribute to Apartheid.

We hope more parliaments around the world will take similar decisions to stop collaboration with apartheid and genocide.

We encourage everyone (ourselves included) to keep learning about the Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) movement and how to apply it to our lives and communities. And we especially encourage people from Barcelona to continue protesting against the city's sisterhood with Tel Aviv.
