Burden of Proof:

From what I could find out, Miranda's rescue took in like 900 animals in about a year, and has only rehomed a bit over a hundred of them, which is where the 700 missing come into play. It seems like they were getting paid to take in animals, particularly ones with bite risk or behavioural issues. They're supposedly a no kill rescue but I think the assumption is that they've likely killed most of the animals that are missing at the moment.

They're being investigated for animal abuse and also for fraud (I'm assuming in relation to the payments they got for taking in animals, and potentially for donations they recieved but idk). I found a reddit thread and some articles, I've linked the article w/ the most info below.
