KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight attendant displays her AR-10 rifle and parka. Two parts of over 150 pieces of polar survival gear issued to commercial aircrews that flew over the north pole to reach Asia from America and Europe. The rifle was intended to defend against polar bear attacks. 1959.
