But could we - no, could you. Yes you just… take a deep breath. And forget all those negative thoughts for a second. Forget that you’re sometimes doubt your identity. That’s normal and okay, this is about learning about yourself - maybe you are wrong, that’s possible. But it’s okay. It’s a journey. Stop thinking about it. Stop wasting your energy at those anti-kin - they don’t want to learn or listen to us, so they won’t. They are not worth your time and energy. Forget them.

Instead… If you have any memories think about the happiest one. Maybe let out a little bark. Or purr. Or chirp. Or growl. Listen to your heartbeat. Feel it. And let me tell you this:

Whatever that may be, as long as your happy and don’t harm anyone it is perfect. Not everyone needs to believe you and you don’t have to prove anything about your identity to anyone.

Be who you want to be. Be who you are. You are real and you are perfect!

You are who you are for a reason even if you don’t know why. You don’t have to search for the answer - you can do if you want to but don’t feel like you need to. I think at the end we are here to be heroes. And it starts with the little things - make someone smile, pet your cat or dog today, be a good friend, help an animal.

I know, some of you were fearsome dragons, monsters and other creatures ones and you still are. You don’t need to save the world to be a hero - you just need to save yourself.

This seems a bit pointless, and it probably is… What I want to tell you is just… calm down. You are real and I believe in you. Maybe your human body feels like a cage but you are still who you are. Life isn’t always fair and beautiful - but you can make it a bit easier for someone.

At the weekend we finally managed to cosplay gaster and sans from handplates after a month of planning. It was more complicated to sew and edit everything than I thought but it was still a lot of fun.

If you start to feel drowsy it’s best to find a motel and sleep. But keep your eyes down.

Before picking up a hitchhiker check to see if they’re wearing shoes.

Occasionally you’ll stumble across strange radio channels. Don’t listen to anything they say.

Disregard what might appear in your mirrors.

If your car is suddenly low on gas exit the vehicle immediately.

If you see someone trying to fix their car on the side of the road get out and help. But don’t ask any questions.

The contents of your trunk may vary.

If a strange fog suddenly rolls in turn on your air conditioner. It’s looking for warm objects.

You may hear strange things from your radio. Remember that you do not have a radio.

When ordering fast food always avoid the drive-through.

Sometimes people appear in your backseat. Make idle conversation and don’t antagonize them. They’re just wondering.

Focus on your lane.

Check through your phone camera if the traffic light has really turned green; spirits like to deceive you.

Never turn on the windshield wipers. Get out and clean the window manually if needed.

It is perfectly acceptable to sometimes take strange dirt roads claiming to be shortcuts. Enjoy those routes. They’re never there for long.

I’ve finally given up on improving it any more. It’s long, and maybe a little unorganized in places, and for that I apologize. But after a couple of rounds of beta editing, and several months of blood, sweat, and tears, I have a survey at last.

The survey is a bit long, but most people probably won’t need to fill out most of it because it has sections for different alterhuman communities, so many sections will be skipped. I apologize for not making the section-skips automatic, but I don’t trust the section-skip mechanic Google has to work properly, so you’re just going to have to scroll and manually skip sections as necessary, unfortunately.

I’m hoping to get as many responses as possible, aiming for as near to a census of the alterhuman communities as I can. With as much data as I can get, hopefully I can gain and present you all with some helpful, or at least interesting, insights into the demographics of the alterhuman communities. To that end, I ask:

Please share this survey with as many alterhuman spaces and groups as you can and spread it as far as possible so as much data can be collected as possible! You don’t need to ask me permission to repost it on other websites; please do!

I will be completing a statistical analysis at some point in the future. The current plan is to close the survey and do this analysis in June of 2019, but if it seems I’m still getting a significant number of new responses in at that point, or if it seems like traffic has slowed down before we reach that point, that date may change. I will update y’all if and when that happens.

I decided to make a tarot challenge for July! A little last minute I admit, but whatever.

When I read my cards, I will occasionally flip the deck over to look at the card that is on the bottom, as an answer to “why”. It’s an underlying reason for why I pulled the card that I did.

And that’s what this challenge is about: what is underneath. The answer to why.

For this challenge, I want you to pick a card how you normally would to answer the daily question. Then I want you to look at the bottom card on your deck and figure out why you answered the question the way you did.

For example. What makes you happy - The Empress. Creating new things is what makes me happy. Why - three of pentacles. It gives me something to work on and I get to work with other people and make things I would never have thought of otherwise.

so alternatives to dream catchers!

witches ladders. they are knot magic with added trinkets, usually feathers! while braiding or knotting just think of the intention of what you want out of it. an added bonus is the fact you can add things you associate with a goods nights sleep, or gems that offer magical properties of sleeping well, good dreams, nightmare reflection ect.

my favorite is satchels that can be made cheaply, filled with herbs and stones of your choice. when completed, put the satchel under a pillow or your bed!

similar to satchels are poppets, or a teddy bear works great for this if you have sewign skills. if you can make a small incision on the bottom of the bear (or stuffed animal/poppet) and while thinking on your intent put charged herbs and gems inside. then just close them right up adn sleep with the bear with you or near you.

if you like the looks of dream catchers to aid in helping you get better dreams i would suggest wreathes, you can add what ever decorations that match your aesthetic and practice, and it won’t be appropriation because its not from a closed religion

I actually (shamefully) have a dream catcher that I’m only holding onto because I like the look of it (and because it was a gift from my older sister, who I love dearly). 

I’ve wanted to take it down, because appropriation is Not Okay, but I wanted to put something in its place and didn’t know what. And now I know what.
