This would be so good, the worst thing about open world games is getting between locations on opposite sides of a map, imagine how easy it would be if you could have public transit, and it would be more interesting than a simple fast travel mechanic

Okay, this is the least useful addition, but when I played Ark: Survival Evolved, there was a guy on my server who had a dinosaur with a bunch of seats on the saddle, and everyone allied with his tribe so they could sit in the seats, and he would literally just run a set route around the map on this dinosaur. The rest of this guy's tribe was dedicated to doing other stuff in the game, but this one guy spent pretty much every minute of him being logged in just....being a public transit system. Part of his route ran by my tribe's base and I rode in one of the seats a few times to get to other parts of the map, but i would see him out and about at regular times often. Man literally was the local bus, and it was truly magical.
