Summary:

Class 1-A don't find Vigilante Deku.

Instead, when Izuku drops out of UA, he disappears for five agonizing years, forcing his peers to grapple with his absence, especially Katsuki and Shouto, whose desperate, grief-fueled search changes the trajectory of their lives.

But when Izuku finally resurfaces, he's not who they remember—quirkless, struggling with addiction and a shell of the person he once was, leaving Katsuki and Shouto to question whether it's too late to save what's left of him.

But as he curls in on himself beneath the futon, a warm tranquility washes over him, luring him into slumber. Izuku breathes out a sigh of pure bliss. This is what he craves. A handful of moments in which the bodily tension that plagues his every waking moment evaporates into mist and the deafening worries that loom over his head are suddenly difficult to recall, feeling as light as an empty promise. Just a few short, liberating minutes where the world dulls into a soothing hum and he genuinely believes that everything is going to be okay. That he’s going to be okay.
