Some ramblings below haha
I orginally started writing this is 2021, when I was going through some stuff and this story was my only outlet (I'm doing better now, which is probably partly why I'm not writing as often as I was). Whilst the first chapter contains my usual brand of fluff(y smut), subsequent chapters are very heavy on the angst, focusing on recovery and adapting to life after a significant trauma (in this case, physical and psychological torture).
Five years later, it does feel like sharing a little bit of my soul with you all, but after my previous poll results, I didn't want it to stay abandoned in my folder forever.
At the time of uploading this, six chapters (~30k words) have been written, but past-me apparently had a plan for eighteen chapters, so no pressure there... I honestly don't know if/how I will finish this, but I hope to one day, then I can include an "angst with a happy ending" tag, and everything will be right with the world.
