I think this feeling of “BUT SAM WAS THE HERO! FRODO WAS A WHINY BABY” that has cropped up lately is really disgusting. Yeah, sam’s a fucking hero. he absolutely was. And Frodo valued him more than he valued anything else. But at what point did it become cool to hate on someone who’s shown with a huge burden to carry that needs other people’s help to keep him going? if frodo was alone, he would’ve broken before he got to Rivendell. He takes strength from his friends. How is that weakness?
