but of course, because they're sam and misa, they can never be serious about anything. every so often they'll be fooling around in one of their respective bedrooms, sam halfway inside misa already, and then their playlist changes and all of a sudden they're both cackling with laughter because dude, when the hell did you add this song?

it started as a joke, of course, probably even before they even started hooking up. a little back and forth of 'do you jerk off with music playing?' 'what, to muffle the noise?' 'enhancements, wow, good word' fist bump. and then sam makes a playlist which he shares with misa about all the good songs he's jerked off to, telling him he should just give it a shot.

and then a few days later, misa is draped over sam's lap, a movie playing lowly on the tv as background noise, but they're both scrolling on their phones or playing the forty-fifth round of clash that day. then sam goes 'hey mike do you think having music on while having sex would make it better or worse?' and misa, because he's so easygoing and does basically whatever sam does, thinks about it for a second, jutting his bottom lip out in his small little puppy-ish pout, before going 'i dont know. do you wanna see?'
