Spiral with tome.’s new single ‘not a love song’
OPM Indie artist, tome., releases his new single “not a love song” on Friday, July 30.
“not a love song” is the lead single track on tome.'s new mixtape which is set to be released in September.
Produced and written by the artist himself, the song is an indie-pop anthem that questions and directly contrasts the love song-filled world we live in.
The song further exudes the feeling of being contented with just finding yourself instead of needing someone else, which is already an achievement that deserves celebration.
“I've been so weathered in my past lives [that] it feels like I'm a byproduct of a woodwork,” tome. says in the track’s press release as he sings over an 80’s ballad inspired tune, singing about the struggles of growing up and finding yourself through the journey.
"not a love song" is a track fit for late-night drives and is a song that you can easily spiral into loving.
“Being an independent artist, I am committed to doing every single process of the track and it's visuals from writing to mixing and mastering, the do-it-yourself aesthetic and sound makes every song really raw and personal,” he says.
