what’s ur take on the cosmic horrors?

and how do you feel about gazzat being able to control all of the dead but that power just gets split between Jack and thrull.

also I’m basing some of jacks past on the game call 911 before your parents break down the door.

Sorry I didn’t see this until now! I have no idea how long this was in my inbox but I hope it wasn’t long!

(Spoilers for books 4–10: Stuff from books 4, 5, 7, and 10 mainly are mentioned)

But the cosmic horrors are so cool and I very much hope they’re explored more! We need more cosmic horrors.

I need to reread some of the books to be able to apply better information but I also think the entire hierarchy of all the cosmic stuff that was explained in book 4 has such epic potential and I hope it isn’t thrown away and forgotten about 😔

Ghazts power distribution is lowkey kinda weird. If Bardle had more time in book 5 I think all the power would’ve been sapped from the tail and given to Jack, possibly causing his cosmic appendage to grow much faster than what actually happened but idk if that would happen.

It’s kinda like downloading the info/power into the cosmic hand. Thrull came in and prevented Bardle from finishing the power transfer. Thats why Thrull was able to create a skeleton army— he used the energy left in the tail.

That could also explain why Jacks power was so weak at first (other than the fact he’s never wielded something like it)

I believe that the cosmic appendage’s growth correlates with it’s power. The cosmic hand had to grow into a cosmic arm like Ghazts tail with Thrull (Jack and Thrull parallels my beloved) and thats when he (eventually) unlocked his ability to consistently control zombies.

He also went completely berserk against Rezzoch, he let the cosmic arm grow and consume his being in order to avenge and technically also try to revive Quint. He gained more power.

I can’t say what’ll happen now with the cosmic arm turned into the cosmic hammer but it likely wont change much (mainly for plot reasons). Maybe Jack will grow in power since he can control the cosmic hammer now too.

Thrulls tail-arm fusion has also grown and changed. It went from a tail to like a vine-whip with even more vines supporting it. His power has grown with his appendage.

Holy cow I went on a rant… Hope you enjoyed my theory! The more I yapped about it the more it started to make sense in my head!

YESSS I LOVE FAHRENHEIT 451! I read it in my English class and loved it so much I bought the book myself 😋

I’m not very good with headcanons but heres some!

Jack:

Never got the Blarg smell out of his backpack

His arm is really itchy after it’s separated from the Cosmic Hand (now Cosmic Hammer)

Dropped the Cosmic Hammer on his foot once

broke his ring finger and didn’t tell anyone. Quint eventually saw Jacks super crooked finger and realized what happened

June:

Very good at skateboarding , but hasn’t rode one in a while

Likes Musicals (unless there’s way too much singing)

Wouldn’t let Jack out of her sight for too long after he nearly died during book 6 (when he flung out of the BoomKart while they were being chased by Blargus (Page 153)

Loves Dr. Pepper

Quint:

Nearly burnt his house down once (on accident)

When his babysitter was zombified, he tried testing on her to make a cure for the zombie virus. After like 5 weeks he gave up.

Somehow failed a chemistry test once and was mortified. He over studied for weeks and caused himself to get a fever

Loves salt and vinegar chips

Dirk:

Had either a pet lizard or cat before the apocalypse

Enjoys games like Stardew Valley

Let himself get taken by Evie in book 5 because he was scared of hurting his friends when he got zombified

Super stressed when Jack and Quint went through the rip tears

Extra:

Evie used to love cheese but Ghazt ruined that for her

A monster tried to eat Globlet
