Something went wrong when Rezz tried to possess Jack. Something went really wrong.

Instead of possessing jack, Rezzoch fully fuses with the king wretch. He's finally on earth, but his goal of destroying Earth as been basically 100% stopped. Not because they were defeated,. No. It's because they remember none of his goals. That's another thing that when wrong.

When June, Quint, and Dirk were forced to leave Jack’s mind, Rezzoch cast a spell. But it went wrong. It teleported both them and Jack to somewhere.

About a year or so later the gang finally finds Jack. But he doesn't remember them. It's revealed that when he and Rezz got teleported away both of them lost their memory. Even with his memories gone the gang can tell that it is Jack. Not just because of his looks. Rezzoch though? A barely recognizable. Their kind and genuinely cares about Jack and his well-being.

The gang explains who Jack really is. Rezzoch was able to tell that the gang spoke the truth because of magic. Jack doesn't want to leave Rezzoch, because Jack considers Rezz a parent. But Rezz knows that their life before the mind wipe was horrible one. Rezz tries to convince Jack to go with his friends/family, even through Jack’s protest.

Rezz leaves Jack. Jack doesn't want him to but he does anyway. Later Rezzoch comes back to Jack. But he has all his memories back. Jack doesn't have his back. There able to take Jack to his base where Thrull and his other minions are. Rezz still genuinely cares about Jack, but he still wants to destroy Earth. So to make sure that Jack doesn't get hurt or try to not work with him, Rezzoch plans to erase the rest of Jack’s memories. But Jack finds out and tries to talk to Rezz to stop them or run away. But his tries fail and Rezz erases Jack’s memories. Becoming a helper for Rezzoch.

Rezz keeps Jack out of the fighting and anything that would possibly hurt him or give him, his memories back. But the gang tries to save Jack. And they do. But he fights there save because he was told that they were the bad guys. The gang eventually makes Jack realise that all he knew was a lie.
