I am a leather/latex person (accidentally outing myself as a fetish model here, oops), but I tried on a pair similar to this at regional dressage championships last year. They were great until I started to sweat, which was near instantly.
Shadbelly Advice!
My trainer asked me today if I had a shabelly, as we’re schooling PSG and plan to show Fourth this year. I obviously don’t, so I’m looking for suggestions!
Requirements:
nothing super cheap quality-wise, but not obscenely expensive
navy blue
gold or brown points (not a huge requirement, but it would make my life much easier)
I’ve been casually looking but want to know what actually, practically works! Thanks in advance!
The boyfriend came out and played with his new camera while Rohan and I schooled in the double outside. Happy pony, happy rider. Can’t wait for regionals at the end of the month!
Trying to decide between the PS of Sweden Grand Prix or Passage (Patent Noseband) double bridle for Rohan for this year (I’m tired of modifying his snaffle bridle every time I want to switch it up).
His current bridle is the Premiera Monaco (brown rolled leather, patent noseband with white padding).
Here’s a link to see his goofy mug, for those of you who don’t know what he looks like.
Thoughts? Any better (or cheaper) options? Only requirements are I’d prefer brown rolled leather, and patent noseband and/or white padding (doesn’t have to be both, but it would be a plus). I’m located in the US, if that makes a difference. TIA!

Remember that time Rohan finished in the top half of a large, competitive Third Level AA Regional Championship class?
The same weekend he placed second in his warmup class with a combined score of 65%.
The same weekend I took him out alone - no coaching, no help in the warmup. Just the two of us.
The same weekend we received the American Saddlebred High Point Champion not only once, but twice (Thursday/Friday and Saturday).
Once-in-a-lifetime horse.
Here’s our Third Level Test 3 ride from our warm-up day at regionals! We received a combined score of 65.833%.
