I just love how in most continuities, there is at least one story where Soundwave just stole a child.

I mean, it's obvious from the get-go that he's a great caretaker, the superior even. So it's natural for him to casually judge other's parenting style.

He got like, what? 20 canonical children in G1? And they all turned out fine! They're assholes, but great at their job!

Obviously Soundwave knows better than all of these so-called Creators, they shouldn't even complain whenever the Decepticon took them!

G1 Soundwave with Bumblebee? Pssh, you call that a scout? Leave him to Soundwave and Bumblebee will ended up capabale to get information from the Quintessons! That is, if Soundwave even sees him as a young adult. You sure he's not a youngling with that frame? Eh, Soundwave should probably just take him just in case.. Maybe he'll get the red one too. Those two are practically twins, right? That's perfect! Rumble and Frenzy has been getting bored lately, and a new set of twins is just what the Nemesis needs! Oh don't Complain Bumblebee, and Cliffjumper. By the end of the month, you'll be proper Decepticons with the rest of them! And Optimus can't even demand to return his Autobots- Megatron knew Soundwave very well, and he's sure as hell that his TIC won't allow him to return the two. And good luck trying to get the two back forcefully, Soundwave is a sire, carrier and a protector- if he seems a mech to be his sparkling then pray to Primus that he would go easy on you.

TFA Soundwave was made BY Megatron, and Sari... In technical sense, came FROM Megatron.. So they're siblings! If Soundwave realized that this techno-organic is his sibling, then.. Then his sister must have been brainwashed! That's it! No wonder she behaves well with the inferior race, she was raced to be an organic! We can't have that, right? Maybe a little encouragement- or a quick check to her processor (cause she obviously has one) might be the right path to get her sister back, and in that way- he could complete their family once Megatron and the decepticons got them! He's sure his real sire misses her! (Bumblebee might be an easy target too, but Shockwave already sees him as his son so he's already taken)

TFP Soundwave can just look at the human children and just wonder 'why the hell are these Autobots letting these organic sparklings help them!?' Screw that! Soundwave can just take them and hid them, they haven't even found their ship yet and no one is dumb enough to cross Soundwave when they find the sparklings! The humans can shout and cry whenever they want but Soundwave's confident that they'll warm up to him, the same way they warm up to the Autobots! Plus, Soundwave KNOWS what they all want. New guitar for Miko? Done, he'll make one that even shoots laser for this reckless sparkling. A much stronger laptop for hacking? Done! He can even teach Raf his techniques! Want to leave and return to Earth with the Autobots and their family? Are you kidding, no. But Soundwave can just put them in a Cybertronian body if that's what they want. Oh, don't complain, Jack.. You wanted a motorcycle, right? Well, why buy one when you can be one! Although you might have to convince Soundwave on that, he's keen on turning you three to be his symbiotes.

Cyberverse Soundwave literally stole Lasebeak from his family.. Did- did everyone just forget that and just accept it as fact? Anyway.. Yeah he would definitely steal Soundblaster's Buzzsaw given the chance. Unfortunately there aren't eligible younglings to steal other than the other bird.. But an amnesiac Bumblebee is! It would be so easy for Soundwave to just waltz up to him, tell some lie and place Bumblebee under his wing. That Bumblebee is reckless, naive and is in desperate need of guidance! What more there is to want? He'll just have to repeat what he did to Laserbeak to the Autobot and be done with it!
