While Palworld absolutely copied design elements from certain pokemon, there's also a lot of accusations of copying which are simply baseless and speak a lot to how uninspired and ubiquitous pokemon designs are. No, it doesn't look like that pokemon, it doesn't even share the same inspiration, you just don't know any other media than pokemon so your first thought upon seeing a cartoon creature design is "what's that pokemon?"
