please say sike
I mean.... you don't have to write descriptions. But there's a word for that: a script. Congrats you're not a novelist, you're a very inefficient playwrite who writes plays that go on for several hours. Go pitch it to netflix.
#not to be pedantic but even scripts have description
"prioritize character development and plot" by. skipping everything but dialogue? Ăthelred, you skipped the part where 90% of the character development and plot is
"Can we please normalize achievable reading goals?" says the person with a Palestine flag in their bio, who has undoubtedly never read anything they didn't see in a Hasan Piker transcript.
right, because 'having a Palestinian flag in their bio' allows you to make such sweeping assumptions about a person. Here's some ideas for you:
#1: this person is Palestinian and is expressing their patriotism by having the flag
#2: this person is using the flag as a way to show support and solidarity for the people of Palestine, who are living through a war that has massive civilian death tolls and infrastructure damage to them, as well as constant war crimes and atrocities.
#3: this person supports Palestinian statehood as a political cause and is expressing their political views, as is their right.
#4: some other reason to have that flag, which is none of your business in any case.
You can say that someone with a red triangle in their bio is someone you trust less, and maybe I would see where you were coming from. But making this level of claim about a simple flag is preposterous. (I do not support Hasan Piker, and many people who are in the "pro-Palestine cause" do also hold antisemitic views, but that is no excuse to say such things.)
do better, please.
YOU do better.
You know damn well how that flag is used.
You sound like someone saying they fly the Confederate flag because it's "their heritage."
imagine, if you will, someone who has the israeli flag in their bio. The israeli flag is often used to show support for the government of israel; would you not make the same argument about them?
Are the people who put the Israeli flag in their bio gleefully calling for genocide and the harassment and destruction of Palestinians worldwide and cheering while mosques are bombed and Palestinian girls are raped to death?
Some of them? yes, quite often.
Most of them?
Are they wandering onto posts about Ramadan to scream FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA WILL BE ISRAEL and posts about Islamic poetry to say "the Nakba wasn't enough" and actively trying to rig US elections in favor of candidates who say stuff like "all Muslims should be put in prison camps and castrated"?
What I'm getting at is that it's a false fucking equivalency and you fucking know it.
People ARE doing those things, especially far right wing Christian Zionists, Kahanists, fundamentalists, likudniks, and others. You don't see it on tumblr as much, but you are finding a vocal minority of pro palestinians, and it's a bit rich to tell me that I am making false equivalencies when you equated having a palestinian flag to being a Hasan supporter, and said that the arguments for it are similar to a confederate flag.

I think you live in a bubble. Nine times out of ten you see that flag you're gonna find rancid-ass takes about Jews and Israel coming right behind, and they got them all from TikTok and similar garbage.
Im nosy and this was vaguely annoying me because like, the account is public? Check it?
And thats just July! Lets actually search!
Oh wow who could have possibly seen this coming
