Chloe and Sophia (blackheartlukasiak)
Okay you are now on the team as Chloe! Welcome!
This blog had definitely went down the drain… Both of us admins were extremely busy and just didn't have time for it. I haven't heard from the other admin, but my schedule has gotten less busy. I'm willing to start this back up if I could get a solid team of at least 8 dancers to start with. Shoot us a message with your top 2 picks of dancers you want to be and I'll get it set up!
is anyone open??
Team 2 has a lot of open spots. You can be any dancer you want except Mackenzie, Sophia, Chloe, Kalani, Maddie, & Autumn.
what is happening with team 2?
Sorry guys! I've been busy lately with school starting and other stuff. I'll try to get the pyramid up this week. We also need new members! As for Team 1, I have no idea what's going on there because I am not the admin for that team.

Dance: Solo- Compass
Style: Contemporary
Song: Compass- Zella Day (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmqPspT6YOg)
Dancer(s): McKaylee True
Side Notes: I kept McKaylee's costume, hair, and makeup simple because I want the dance to be more about the dancing and not a flashy costume. This dance will be challenging for McKaylee because it isn't her usual contemporary dance, it's a quirky, weird contemporary and will be a lot like an Alexa Moffett piece. Also, the prop is a compass necklace and will be worn around McKaylee's neck, but will be taken off and used a couple of times as well.
Story: This dance is about a really strong love and a compass in relation to that. The compass represents how two people in love find their way to each other, time and time again. The compass "points you home" to each other. The dance is about McKaylee being deeply in love with someone and expressing that throughout the dance and using the compass prop to find her lover. The dance starts with McKaylee walking onto the stage from a diagonal clutching the compass, but it will be around her neck. When the music starts, she begins dancing but still in the diagonal. She does a couple of coupe turns, a lunge move, etc. until she gets to the front corner of the stage. She takes the compass necklace off and holds it. When the chorus comes at 0:29, she runs softly in circles to the middle of the stage, sort of like how a compass turns. She points to the right, like her compass is telling her where to go, then does a calypso leap in the direction she pointed. Then she slips the necklace back on and continues dancing. The choreography of this dance is very unique. It's a lot like Alexa Moffett's contemporary choreo. McKaylee does do some turns, leaps, and other tricks here and there, but the majority of the dance is just quirky contemporary moves. There are some lunge moves, a hinge, some leg extensions, and more. Throughout the dance McKaylee uses the compass, to show it pointing her towards her love. There is one part in the dance where McKaylee does a long turn sequence. At 2:28, she does a turn sequence with a la secondes, pirouettes, floats, skater spins, and an illusion turn at the end. The turn sequence represents the compass turning and turning, trying to find her true love. And then the illusion turn represents how it finally stops and points her in the right direction. McKaylee must use her best emotions, happy, overwhelmed, relieved, etc., to represent this love story. She also must act out the story and dance her heart out to capture the audience and judges.
Dance: Duet- The Chain
Style: Contemporary
Song: The Chain- Ingrid Michaelson (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fu2gxZDquzA)
Dancer(s): McKaylee True & Chloe Lukasiak
Side Notes: The shorts will be the same color as the top and they will not wear the hair flower shown in the costume picture. Each girl wears a bracelet, but one wears it on their left hand and the other on their right hand. The chain starts out with both hooks on McKaylee's bracelet, until later on when they chain together and such.
Story: This dance is about someone leaving you and just completely breaking your heart and tearing you apart. Chloe has been left by her significant other and she feels lost and like she can't even operate with him. McKaylee is Chloe's support system. She helps her get through it and helps her cope with the pain. Until the end of the dance, when Chloe has come to terms with the empty spot in her love life and she learns to live without him. They are chained together for most of the dance because McKaylee fills the void in Chloe's life, so they're attached to each other. The dance starts with Chloe sitting at the front edge of the stage, head in her hands, and rocking slightly. McKaylee starts at the back corner and does turns up to Chloe during the instrumental part at the beginning of the song. Then when the lyrics start, she grabs Chloe's hand, spins her around, and lifts her up then Chloe falls in McKaylee's arms, obviously hurt, and they do some partner work. Then at 0:35, they do a turn sequence together of a la secondes, pirouettes, and stag leg turns. McKaylee lands her turns, but Chloe falls to the ground out of hers. Then at 0:49 McKaylee leans down and hooks the chain on her bracelet to Chloe's bracelet. Then this is when the mood of the dance changes. The majority of the rest of the dance is them dancing while being chained, which represents McKaylee helping Chloe heal. They do a lot of leaps together, like firebirds and second leaps. They also do some more partner work, like two person cartwheels (basically Chlo does a cartwheel in the air holding onto McKaylee's legs and McKaylee does the same on Chloe). They do some pretty leg extensions, like a penche and tilts. They do some quirky contemporary moves. But they do all this while being chained. During this time, Chloe gradually becomes more independent and healed. Then at 2:46, the girls stand at the front of the stage and Chloe reaches down and unhooks the chain, showing that she is okay now. Then McKaylee walks off and Chloe finished the rest of the dance doing a solo part of a small turn sequence and a leap out of the turns then a leg extension and she poses to end the dance. The girls must use their emotions to portray this story. Chloe must use sad and broken faces, as well as faces of healing and peace. McKaylee uses faces that portray her helpfulness and happiness that Chloe is mending her broken heart. This dance is meant to spark emotion in the audience and judges, so the girls will really need to use their emotions and acting skills for this dance to be a hit.
Dance: Trio- Touch
Style: Lyrical
Song: Touch- Daughter
Dancer(s): McKaylee True, Addison Moffett, & Brooke Hyland
Side Notes: n/a
Story: This dance is about loneliness. All three girls feel extremely lonely. They don't have any friends and they are always alone. They crave someone's attention and someone's- anyone- touch. They just want to feel something. And they find that in each other. They become friends and then they don't feel so lonely. Each other's touch helps them. This dance is about expressing loneliness and showing how one can overcome it. The dance starts with the girls in a horizontal line with their heads down. The girl on the left end reaches out and touches the others shoulder and leans into her, picking one foot up off the ground with a flexed toe. They each do that. Then when the lyrics start, they all pull away, like they don't know what happened. They do a little combo where they fall on the ground and push away from each other then do a shoulder roll and a toe rise up. They seem to realize that the touch they felt wasn't bad, so they wonder back in towards each other. Then at 0:19, they form a circle and touch each other's shoulders and sway back and forth. Then they break apart and dance in sync. They do pretty lyrical moves, which involves a lot of moves that show off their technique, like some moves involving deep plies. Also, they do turns, mostly pirouettes, chaines, piques, and coupes. They also do a couple of leaps, like a calypso and a russian switch leap. At 3:50, the girls all do hinges slowly in unison and then slide down onto their backs on the floor. Then they egg roll to stand up and go back to their original places, a horizontal line with their heads down. Then one by one they lean and put a hand on the next's girls shoulders, just like in the beginning, and they end the dance like that. The girls use lonely, sad, overwhelmed, and then happy and satisfied emotions and facials to portray this heavy story of loneliness. Their goal in this dance is to make the audience feel something.
Dance: Group- Ruby Blue
Style: Lyrical/Contemporary
Song: Ruby Blue- Sleeping at Last (
Dancer(s): McKaylee True, Chloe Lukasiak, Autumn Miller, Kalani Hilliker, Maddie Ziegler, and Brynn Rumfallo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WNxbxXH2Ks)
Side Notes: Brynn's costume will be in a ruby (dark red) color and the rest of the girls' costumes are a royal blue color. The sheer fabric prop is also a royal blue.
Story: This dance is about someone who has almost hit rock bottom. Brynn portrays someone who has gone into a downward spiral. The rest of the girls are portraying her friends. They want to help. They're trying to convince her to go get help and to be motivated to bring herself out of this rut, because she has so much more life to live. They're trying to make her look at what she's doing. But she's too far gone. She keeps spiraling downward until she hits the very bottom at the end of the dance. The fabric prop represents the thin line Brynn is walking on between her and rock bottom. The dance starts with the fabric laying horizontally across the front of the stage with Brynn laying on it. For the beginning instrumentals, she does floor work on the fabric. Then when the lyrics start, the other girls run prettily on stage and surround Brynn, causing Brynn to freeze in a sitting position facing the back. Then they back up and all grab a part of the edge of the fabric. They pick it up with Brynn on it and turn it 180 degrees, so Brynn is facing the audience. Then two of the girls go and help Brynn stand up on the stage, showing they are trying to help her, while the rest of the girls move the fabric upstage. She gets up and they begin to dance in sync, but Brynn dances sort of heavily to show her current emotional and mental state. This dance consists of a balanced mix of pretty lyrical moves, like flowy arms and deep plies, and interesting contemporary moves, like lunges. The girls do a lot of tricks as well, like turns, leaps, and gorgeous leg extensions. They also do a lot of work with the fabric prop with Brynn on it or taking it over Brynn. At 1:57, two girls lift Brynn up on the fabric and swing it back and then forward and sling Brynn off of it. She lands in the other girls' arms in a superman position facing the audience and then curls up and flips forward out of their arms and onto the ground. She then does some more floorwork to show how close to the bottom she is while the other girls dance in sync around her. At 2:50, Brynn stands on the fabric and does a calypso leap to the ground and egg rolls into a laying position. Then at 2:54, the other girls pull the fabric out from under Brynn and walk off, while Brynn, who is laying on her side half curled up, reaches out for someone to help, then eventually drops her hand in surrender. All of the girls, but especially Brynn, must use their acting skills perfectly to portray the heavy story. They also have to use sad, angsty, emotional, and hurt faces to portray the story and make the judges sit on the edge of their seats.
