Time for my morning coffee. I can worry about changing out of my wet diaper after that.

Spot anything unusual?

A summer wedding and couldn’t afford any leaks with a light coloured suit. ‘Just in case’ Tena pull-up did its job well as it was the case that I had a little accident.

A ‘man’ issue that hits bedwetters at times. If you’re not ‘pointing down’ in your diaper at night you can leak onto your stomach. It sucks.

Tighty whities or tighty yellow and whities?

When you make the decision to try protection at night there are many options to choose from. Sometimes it’s easiest to try a pull-up style first. They are a bit easier to put on and if you’re a light wetter can do the job. They also feel a bit less embarrassing than a tape-on nappy and definitely less so than plastic pants. But pull-ups can be prone to leaks. A dry bed, PJs or underwear makes a big difference in the morning and in my mind makes it all worthwhile however initially bad you feel about wearing diapers. You’re not a baby, just a guy dealing with an issue in a practical way.

After a few mornings like this, it’s time to consider nighttime protection. Going back into nappies is never easy. Most adults will find it at least a bit humiliating, but freedom from pee soaked bedding and nightwear is a big plus.

If your washing machine gets an early morning job you’re not alone. The number of guys who wake up to find they had a wetting accident while they were asleep is a lot higher than you might expect. For most it’s an occasional occurrence however embarrassing. Perhaps you were overtired, had alcohol or a lot of fluids in the evening or your sleep pattern changed for some reason. Adult bedwetting stays a secret, one of those things we don’t talk about and never admit.

Adult bedwetting is not often talked about. It’s not something many people want to admit but it’s more common than we think. It’s something I’ve always lived with so I guess I’m more sensitised to it, but mostly it’s a well kept secret. Even if it’s not every night like mine, lots of adults have occasional accidents, sometimes due to fatigue, alcohol, medication or just as a random occurrence. One of the reasons I value the abdl community is that discussions about nighttime incontinence are much more open.

Even though I haven’t had to go through the humiliation of a morning nappy check since I was a pretty young bedwetter, the memories still hit me some mornings
