Side Notes (optional): The song starts at about 0:04 and ends at about 1:37.  All times given are for the uncut song, as seen on the Warblers soundtrack.  The feathers are worn in the girls' hair for most of the dance; they are easy to take out but are still firmly in place enough to not be an issue during the girls' dancing and tricks.

Who is submitting the assignment?  Who’s in the Dance? Sophia, Tate, McKaylee, Autumn, Brynn, Kalani  What style is it? (i.e. lyrical, jazz, etc.) Musical theater  Is it a solo, duet, trio or group? Group Song: "Prologue/Little Shop of Horrors" from "Little Shop of Horrors" Story: This is a fun, upbeat musical theater piece.  At the beginning of the song (really about 0:57), Sophia, Tate, and McKaylee do a triplet-back-front to the right onto the stage (during the first "Little Shop"), followed by a smaller one back to the left (during the "Little Shop of Horrors"), then pose.  Then Brynn, Kalani, and Autumn do a triplet-back-front onto the stage from the right (during the next "Little Shop"), followed by a smaller one back to the right (during the "Little Shop of Terror"), then pose.  Then all the girls run (while kicking their butts) to the center of the stage during the next couple lines (up until 1:09).  The girls all then step left, then right on the next "Little Shop", and then they all hip four times (with their right foot in a dig) for the "Little Shop of Horrors".  This part repeats again immediately afterward.  They all step forward on their right and snap their fingers to the left, then step on their left and snap their fingers to the right ("Watch 'em drop"). Then they chaine to the right and pose during the "Little Shop of Horrors."  Kalani, Autumn, and McKaylee then do a forward aerial to the front, while Tate, Sophia, and Brynn do one to the back so they are now in two lines by costume (by 1:22).  From 1:22 to 1:26, Autumn has a solo part, mouthing the words, then during the "Look Outs," the girls do a sequence of a la seconde turns. Then from 1:28 to 1:34 Kalani has a solo part, mouthing the words, followed by McKaylee from 1:34 to 1:39.  During the "you better - I'm telling you you better," the girls in the back do a triplet and jete forward, while the girls in the front triplet backward and then do a surprise leap, thus switching places.  During the "tell your mama," the girls hip three times and jerk their thumb over their right shoulder three times, then hip three times and jerk their thumb over their left shoulder three times during "something's gonna get her."  Then all the girls do a chaine into a tour-jete.  During the big "beware," there is another turn sequence, this time of coupe turns into pirouettes (the girls' working foot starts behind their supporting foot, and then slowly moves up to their knee as they turn).  The girls land feet apart at the end of their turn sequence.  From 2:25 to 2:31 is Sophia's solo part; during the "Look Out!"'s after Sophia's solo, the girls who can do needles do them, and the other girls somersault forward.  From 2:32 to 2:37 is Tate's solo. After Tate's solo, the girls all do a single pirouette.  From 2:39 to 2:44 is Brynn's solo (the final solo part of the dance).  From 2:44 to 2:47, the girls repeat the part from 1:09 to 1:12 (with the steps and the hips).  From 2:48 to 2:52, the girls triplet to the side and then do a straddle leap.  During the long "yeah!," the girls do the same turn sequence during the big "beware," again landing with their feet apart.  During the "come on, come on, come on," they all shimmy their shoulders.  During the "little shop, little shop of horrors" immediately after that, Brynn does a triplet followed by a switch leap, then runs off the stage.  From 3:02 to 3:05, Kalani does a forward aerial to the other side of the stage, followed by a coupe turn, then runs off.  From 3:06 to 3:08, Tate does a leg hold turn, hops out of it, and then runs off.  From 3:08 to 3:11, the remaining girls (Sophia, McKaylee, and Autumn) pose for each "look out," then do a pirouette sequence until 3:18, "falling" out of it onto the floor, where they lie down, which is when the song ends. Side Notes (optional): The hairbow is worn on the top of the braided part of the ponytail; it was chosen to match all the girls' neckties.  Also, the song doesn't start until about fifty seconds into the song (so cutting out the actual prologue part).  Also 1:54 to 2:25 is cut.  Please note that all times listed are for the normal, uncut version (as found on iTunes for the Broadway cast recording).  Sophia, Tate, and Brynn do not wear the leggings shown in their costume.

Story: This dance is about a really strong love and a compass in relation to that. The compass represents how two people in love find their way to each other, time and time again. The compass "points you home" to each other. The dance is about McKaylee being deeply in love with someone and expressing that throughout the dance and using the compass prop to find her lover. The dance starts with McKaylee walking onto the stage from a diagonal clutching the compass, but it will be around her neck. When the music starts, she begins dancing but still in the diagonal. She does a couple of coupe turns, a lunge move, etc. until she gets to the front corner of the stage. She takes the compass necklace off and holds it. When the chorus comes at 0:29, she runs softly in circles to the middle of the stage, sort of like how a compass turns. She points to the right, like her compass is telling her where to go, then does a calypso leap in the direction she pointed. Then she slips the necklace back on and continues dancing. The choreography of this dance is very unique. It's a lot like Alexa Moffett's contemporary choreo. McKaylee does do some turns, leaps, and other tricks here and there, but the majority of the dance is just quirky contemporary moves. There are some lunge moves, a hinge, some leg extensions, and more. Throughout the dance McKaylee uses the compass, to show it pointing her towards her love. There is one part in the dance where McKaylee does a long turn sequence. At 2:28, she does a turn sequence with a la secondes, pirouettes, floats, skater spins, and an illusion turn at the end. The turn sequence represents the compass turning and turning, trying to find her true love. And then the illusion turn represents how it finally stops and points her in the right direction. McKaylee must use her best emotions, happy, overwhelmed, relieved, etc., to represent this love story. She also must act out the story and dance her heart out to capture the audience and judges.

Story: This dance is about someone leaving you and just completely breaking your heart and tearing you apart. Chloe has been left by her significant other and she feels lost and like she can't even operate with him. McKaylee is Chloe's support system. She helps her get through it and helps her cope with the pain. Until the end of the dance, when Chloe has come to terms with the empty spot in her love life and she learns to live without him. They are chained together for most of the dance because McKaylee fills the void in Chloe's life, so they're attached to each other. The dance starts with Chloe sitting at the front edge of the stage, head in her hands, and rocking slightly. McKaylee starts at the back corner and does turns up to Chloe during the instrumental part at the beginning of the song. Then when the lyrics start, she grabs Chloe's hand, spins her around, and lifts her up then Chloe falls in McKaylee's arms, obviously hurt, and they do some partner work. Then at 0:35, they do a turn sequence together of a la secondes, pirouettes, and stag leg turns. McKaylee lands her turns, but Chloe falls to the ground out of hers. Then at 0:49 McKaylee leans down and hooks the chain on her bracelet to Chloe's bracelet. Then this is when the mood of the dance changes. The majority of the rest of the dance is them dancing while being chained, which represents McKaylee helping Chloe heal. They do a lot of leaps together, like firebirds and second leaps. They also do some more partner work, like two person cartwheels (basically Chlo does a cartwheel in the air holding onto McKaylee's legs and McKaylee does the same on Chloe). They do some pretty leg extensions, like a penche and tilts. They do some quirky contemporary moves. But they do all this while being chained. During this time, Chloe gradually becomes more independent and healed. Then at 2:46, the girls stand at the front of the stage and Chloe reaches down and unhooks the chain, showing that she is okay now. Then McKaylee walks off and Chloe finished the rest of the dance doing a solo part of a small turn sequence and a leap out of the turns then a leg extension and she poses to end the dance. The girls must use their emotions to portray this story. Chloe must use sad and broken faces, as well as faces of healing and peace. McKaylee uses faces that portray her helpfulness and happiness that Chloe is mending her broken heart. This dance is meant to spark emotion in the audience and judges, so the girls will really need to use their emotions and acting skills for this dance to be a hit.
