Life/Career Update. Weird turn of events (all text in images below the cut)
I learned on Monday that the owner of the company I work for has accepted an overseas position and will be closing the company extremely soon unless another potential buyer commits. They have offered me ownership of the company, $0 down, where they take a percentage of profits for a few years as repayment. [I have been with the company since almost the beginning and am the senior employee under the owner. There is one other employee lol]
Although I feel I can do the job, I do not currently have reliable transportation needed to commit long term to petsitting
My goal has been to become an independent pet sitter. This opportunity would allow me to own the business I already work for instead of starting from scratch. I already know the pets, clients, software, contracts, and scheduling/invoicing tools. I would also have training from the owner on taxes, insurance, LLC etc before they depart.
In the past several months I have been debating on selling the car and looking for other work because of the repairs it needs
In order to accept this new opportunity, I need to know I can continue to commit to the job. So, I am puttint out a request/ask for assistance in car repairs
For the immediate repairs, my mechanic has given an estimate of $900 in labor plus $230 in parts.
Therefore I am looking to raise around $1100.
With these repairs I would have a safer commute and be able to commit to transporting pets in the car in case of emergencies or vet appointments.
