-He remains in character as Cullen during the entire 37:55 minute runtime of the video and refers to himself in the third person as Greg. Very importantly he DOES NOT actually do the Cullen voice well, and it barely even sounds like Cullen throughout most of the video.

-The entire video is full of really long, awkward pauses.

- “My name is Cullen…… Cullen……… Rutherford. I am a popular fictional character from the video game, Dragon Age.”

-”Dear Cullenites, recently a small vocal mob of social justice warriors attempted to have me, and my voice actor Greg Ellis, tossed into the cancel culture wastelands”

-He spends a good cumulative 4-5 minutes plugging his website and a bunch of hashtags

-Cullen apparently knows all about Johnny Depp, AND supports him! And chooses to spend 3 minutes of the video talking about how Johnny Depp is a great guy actually and that Amber Heard is meanie liar woman whose bad!

-He repeats entire phrases exactly multiple times in the video as if he forgot that he already said the phrase.

-He frames his defense of JK Rowling as people attacking him for “supporting women”. Not once does he actually mention WHY people consider JK Rowling transphobic.

-He plays the “I have a trans friend” card

-halfway through he stops to play- in it’s entirety- a shitty, tone deaf, unbearably long short film about the George Floyd protests that he made a few months ago. It features text supers that are intentionally misspelled in an attempt at making “””“clever”””” phrases about social responsibility or whatever? The majority of the video features looters and violence by protestors… but suspiciously very little footage of the police brutality that also happened.

-”Black lives matter……….. they do NOT matter more than white lives”

- He keeps trying to make “response able” happen

-Directly quotes Uncle Ben from Spiderman “With great power comes great responsibility” completely unironically with a delivery that almost seem to suggest that he doesn’t realize he’s quoting a comic book character?

-He for some fucking reasons recites Cullen’s backstory??? Towards the end of the video?

-Despite the video being made in response to Mark Darrah, and featuring the date and event of his *resignation* (as he literally puts it) at the beginning of the video, Greg only actually talks about Mark Darrah for like, 3-4 minutes.

Just total misses the point on gender equality so I have no doubt about the op other points. Thank you for the summary op, listening to his views is not something I could put myself through.

This was a reply he made, I believe, within the Cullenite/BioWare hissy fit he went on.

He’s using this Black man as a prop. He’s trying to excuse his racism and bigotry towards marginalized peoples by essentially saying “I can’t be racist because I know a Black person.”

Posing next to a less fortunate, poor, or someone struggling with mental health does not make you an ally. Being an ally isn’t something you are, it is something you strive to work for as a white person (I am white by the way). You continue to practice good allyship towards those who don’t have the privileges you do. Posing next to them like Greg is doing, doesn’t tell the viewer anything other than “Oh hey Greg knows a Black person.”

- Acknowledge that Christmas is not a universal holiday and that some people either feel negatively about it or just don’t celebrate it. Stop being offended by this.

- Stop forcing people to participate. Don’t make your Jewish employees wear Christmas outfits, don’t make schoolkids be part of Christmas plays, etc.

- Stop pushing back when Jews are honest with you about how they feel about it.

- Stop deflecting to talk about how Christmas traditions are actually pagan in origin. We know, and also it’s fully irrelevant to our issues with Christmas.

- Recognize things from other cultures. Or at very least don’t *prevent* members of other cultures from expressing them. If your employee wants to put up a menorah, let them. If your coworker wants to add a Chanukah decoration to your office don’t take it down when they’re not looking because it “messes up the Christmas spirit” or whatever.

- Recognize things from different cultures at other times of the year too. Let your Jewish students and employees take days off for the fall holidays. Maybe even consider merchandise or decorations for those holidays too!

- Stop with the double standards. You don’t get to say that a menorah is religious and a Christmas tree isn’t. Either both of them are or neither of them are. A menorah actually is a ritual object but a) plenty of secular Jews use them and b) I don’t think most Christians know that, they just think of Judaism (and therefore Jewish culture) as “a religion” and Christian culture as normal. When people claim to object to Chanukah (the holiday most widely — and often exclusively — celebrated by secular Jews) because it’s “religious,” they’re actually objecting because it’s non-normative.

- Listen when someone is telling you about their experiences with and thoughts about hegemonic culture. Don’t argue that actually it’s fine becaude Christmas is secular or pagan or whatever. Trust people about the experiences they’ve had and how things impact them.
