Well I already picked out a fan cast voice for Brawl. It's only fair that I do the rest of the Combaticons.
I know I already chose Clancy Brown in my fan cast for Megatron. But... screw it, I'm listing him again.
His deep imposing voice that works for both sinister soft-spoken and rageful shouting moments? It really fits Onslaught, a tactician who's a ferocious warrior when he needs to be, like a glove.
And he would definitely work when they all combine into Bruticus.
If he weren't such a scumbag IRL, I would've picked James Woods.
But Mr. Wolf himself is the next best choice. With the smooth-talking charm he brought to that role, I say Sam Rockwell could pull off Swindle's opportunistic con-man personality perfectly.
I'll admit, I really struggled with Blast Off as he's the least interesting Combaticon to me. But I eventually decided that his whole "snobby loner" schtick could be done well by Greg Ellis. He's quite a talented actor who's voiced more a few villainous British roles in the past, so why not?
Originally had Peter Serafinowicz in mind until I found out he's in the new Harry Potter filth.
Going back to listen to Crispin Freeman's performance in the Batman: Arkham games as the unhinged pyromaniac Firefly, I can totally picture gleefully sadistic interrogator Vortex with that same voice.
