    the night life in london is … different from the l.a scene .  or at least, it feels different to the girl .  usually she would have found someone to hang onto , maybe even take home , for the night .  maybe she just wasn’t trying hard enough , given the amount of people in this pub ,  or maybe she’s being PICKIER than usual .  

    most likely the latter . 

    she almost gives up & wants to go back to her hotel for the night , when scanning eyes latch onto an older woman sitting by herself at the bar . erin’s quick in her movements , sliding into the seat next to her like a SNAKE .  poor  woman probably had no idea what she was going to get herself into when she left her house . 

     ❝  you know, i just HATE when people beat around the bush ;  don’t you ?  if you’re gonna talk to me , be straight forward !  ❞  she starts ,  a light laugh following .  ❝  i’m erin .  how would you feel if i bought you a drink , pretty lady ?  ❞

    IN CELEBRATION OF A SUCCESSFUL EXPEDITION,  Murphy decides to head to the nearest bar and have herself a nice, peaceful drink all on her own. After spending a month with various colleagues — in the middle of the burning desert, with no possibility to isolate herself in peaceful self-enjoyment — that’s what she needs the most. She did share some time and drinks with two other doctors before they eventually left her to her beloved solitude, though that sudden interruption was neither expected nor planned. Turning to the source of the voice, her eyes glint.

         BOLD    what  applies  to  your  muse.      ITALICIZE    what  applies  sometimes.

SPARROW      ▷     innocence.    big  dreamer.    waking  up  too  early.   walking  home.    being  afraid  of  meeting  people.    slim  hands.    always  cold.    reading  a  book  under  a  tree.    the  smell  of  the  forest.    missing  your  home.

EAGLE      ▷      independent.    caring  too  much  for  others.    sharp  looks.    walking  through  the  city  late  at  night.    the  tallest  and  most  spectacular  building.    iron.    being  single  and  okay  in  a  world  that  tells  you  being  single  is  bad.

SWIFT      ▷      falling  in  love  easily  and  heavily.    traveller.     the  infinity  of  the  bluest  sky.    storms.    broken  smiles.   forgetting  people  who  used  to  be  your  loved  ones.   feeling  out  of  place.    mistrusting  people.    a  fleeting  romance.

CROW      ▷     feeling  as  if  you  have  seen  so  much  as  if  you  know  a  lot.    prejudging.    tight  hugs  that  leave  you  breathless.    a  grey  sky.    serenity.    intelligence.    being  left  behind.    chains.   smoke.    the  pride  of  someone  wise.

DOVE      ▷      petals.   jealousy.    being  tired  of  living  with  the  same  old  faces.    whispered  secrets.    marble.    sundresses.    white  clothes.    the  first  sunset  of  winter.    pride  in  who  you  are.   learning  to  get  over  someone.

SEAGULL      ▷      family.   golden  light.    the  sea  murmuring  in  your  ear.    summer  afternoons.    caramel  ice  cream.    collecting  seashells  and  other  things  and  calling  them  treasures.   living  breezy  and  carefree.    swimming  in  the  sunlight.

CANARY      ▷      artistic.    getting  excited  easily.    dancing  and  singing  while  you  are  alone.   looking  at  your  friends  having  fun.    no  phone.    being  afraid  of  judgment.    spring.    a  meaningful  gift.    the  first  ray  of  sunlight.

        𝐈𝐓  𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐊  𝐓𝐎𝐎  𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇  𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆,  too  much  attention  to  detail  &  hassle  to  get  here,  but  he  has  nonetheless;  an  office,  a  seemingly  innocent  sight,  yet  somewhere  hopefully  holding  a  relic  to  help  his  case  ——  or  at  the  very  least,  information  about  it,  anything  to  help.  admittedly,  giovanni  was  not  built  for  such  ordeals;  breaking  &  entering,  finding  a  way  in;  its  exhausted  him,  annoyed  him,  but  he  hopes  it  will  be  worth  it  ——  &  begins  his  search.  

        he’s  not  even  sure  where  to  begin;  poking  around  at  desk  drawers,  eyes  peering  this  way  &  that  in  search  of  what  he  might  be  seeking;  but  the  hunt  is  terribly  short  lived,  when  he  hears  steps,  &  when  door  creaks  distantly  he  contemplates  just  jumping  out  the  nearest  window  to  escape  ——  but  freezes  instead,  like  a  frightened  deer,  instincts  not  equipped  for  this  sort  of  situation.

     PEOPLE KEEP BREAKING INTO HER OFFICE,  too often for her own taste. The baseball bat hiding in the corner behind the door has proved itself much more useful than the doctor ever expected. It’s never pleasant to hear the sounds of an intruder the moment you enter your own house; much less when it becomes a recurring event. Murphy walks straight to the source of those noises, only to find the stranger and her cat, unalarmed, quietly sitting on the couch as if nothing of importance was happening.
