it’s even worse when people approve shikamaru’s revenge and not sasuke’s because we’re talking about shikamaru’s sensei who was killed on duty, so there was actually no legal reason to avenge him x state sanctioned genocide done by sasuke’s own blood

people should condone sasuke’s revenge and disapprove or at least be neutral of shikamaru’s but they do the opposite really. congratulations, you can only do what the narrative tells you.

every once in a while i think i'm normal about sasuke and naruto but then i remember "can you kill me calmly sasuke" and "you were my goal" and their young selves holding hands in their minds and "i'll bear the burden of your hatred and die with you" and "it wasn't meaningless" and usuratonkachi and sasuke asking naruto to define friend while looking angry and naruto not being able to and sasuke crying because naruto loves him and sasuke sacrificing himself for naruto in land of waves and naruto going feral when orochimaru so much as mentions sasuke and them being so in sync in the war and naruto just needing to see sasuke in five kage summit to make up his mind about what to do and sasuke protecting naruto in the war and naruto saying to jiraiya he'd rather stay a fool his entire life if being smart meant giving up on sasuke and i realize i am a fool too for thinking i could ever be even remotely normal about these two
