Hi! Hope you're having a wonderful day! I just had a quick question about a post you reblogged. It was the one about respecting other people's pronouns and was wondering what zie, elz, and xe meant. I'm only asking because I am genuinely curious and want to be more informed on those pronouns. Have a nice day!
Zie, elz, and xe are just other examples of gender neutral/nonbinary pronouns that some people use! If you want to learn how to use some forms of gender neutral pronouns like these, I did a quick search and foundĀ this blogĀ with a chart of pronouns in different conjugations.Ā If you click on a pronoun in the chart, you can read a passage from Alice in Wonderland where Aliceās pronouns are the ones you selected. The websites has examples for ze/hir/hirs (or ze/zir/zirs) and xe/xem/xyr.Ā
Also, keep in mind that I do not use any of these pronouns, so if any of my followers who do use these pronouns or other gender neutral or nonbinary pronouns would like to clarify or add more info, please do!Ā
This blog is so cool! It also has a section which grammar nerds like me will appreciate about some pros and cons of each pronoun set they discuss, such as neutrality, ease of pronunciation, and grammatical flow. An excellent resource!

realizing cis women also struggle with āpassingā a lot of times and has a lot of the same issues with dysphoria trans women have (issues with putting on/losing weight, dissatisfied with bust size, not feeling āfeminineā enough, etc.) has done a lot to combat dysphoria for me, cause itās like, wow, we really have a lot more in common than we have in difference huh
terfs are starting to find this post, and i gotta say: terfs getting mad at a post that explicitly acknowledges cis womenās struggles and with notes full of cis women agreeing and talking about their own struggles and experiences really speaks volumes about how anti-feminist, and frankly misogynistic, terfs really are, that they donāt even give a shit about cis womenās struggles and experiences
Just a reminder my blog is trans inclusive. Itās bi inclusive. It is pan inclusive. It is intersex inclusive. It is ace/asexual inclusive. It is aro/aromantic inclusive. It is queer inclusive.
I donāt support terfs or exclusionists.
If you came here looking for an ally in your bigotry you came to the wrong blog. Go away. You are not welcome here.
juat started watching First Kill on netflix and this opening credits is really giving me carmilla vibes

Texas gave up that land so they could keep slavery:
āWhen Texas sought to enter the Union in 1845 as a slave state, federal law in the United States, based on the Missouri Compromise, prohibited slavery north of 36°30' parallel north. Under the Compromise of 1850, Texas surrendered its lands north of 36°30' latitude.ā
Tell me more about how critical race theory shouldnāt be taught in school.
I am a grown ass man and I just learned about this 5 minutes ago.Ā Fuck everything about trying to hide the sins of our past.

republicans will be like āgood news, everyone! we have passed legislation that will make it legal for us to shoot you in the chestā and dems will respond with āwe have listened to the SCIENTISTS and the SCIENCE says that being shot in the chest is bad! and that is why we are proposing a BOLD counter-legislation that would provide FREE bulletproof vests to individuals making less than $30,000 per year!ā and leftists are like āum yeah I guess if those are our only options Iāll pick the dems but why is it legal for you to shoot us in the chest? maybe they shouldnāt be able to do that in the first place? whereās that option?ā and dems will be like āshut up and vote blue no matter who you stupid fucking hippieā and then you find out that the private company that makes the bullets and the vests funds both parties
Itās absurd how many communication mediums have been ruined by advertising, spam, and scams. Most of the mail you get is junk, most of the emails you get are junk, most of the phone calls you get are from bots, even a good portion of the text messages I receive are spam of some kind. If they ever invent a way to transmit thoughts directly between persons (not something I would even want) it would immediately be used to beam advertising into your brain. Hell companies are already researching to see if itās possible to put ads in our dreams. Nothing is free from capitalism and nothing is sacred
research keeps showing that advertising either does nothing or makes people even less likely to buy a product but there's such a massive industry built around ads and their hypothetical value that every business just wants to double down and think the problem is there's *not enough* ads.
@fishing-lesbian-catgirl have you read Feed by M T Anderson?

People donāt hate math. They hate being confused, intimidated, and embarrassed by math. Their problem is with how itās taught.
Finally
A Mathematicianās Lament or Lockhartās Lament is an essay explaining a lotĀ of whatās wrong with how math is commonly taught. One of the comparisons isĀ ālike learning musical notation without ever hearing the music,ā which felt quite spot-on. Highly informative reading.
āI adore the way fan fiction writers engage with and critique source texts, by manipulating them and breaking their rules. Some of it is straight-up homage, but a lot of [fan fiction] is really aggressive towards the source text. One tends to think of it as written by total fanboys and fangirls as a kind of worshipful act, but a lot of times youāll read these stories and itāll be like āWhat if Star Trek had an openly gay character on the bridge?ā And of course, the point is that they donāt, and they wouldnāt, because they donāt have the balls, or they are beholden to their advertisers, or whatever. Thereās a powerful critique, almost punk-like anger, being expressed thereāwhich I find fascinating and interesting and cool.ā ā Lev Grossman
