Today In Dan And Phil's Random Fucking Anecdotes: mid-2010s, they got high as fuck on edibles and their friend suddenly invited an a-list actor phil had a crush on to the gathering so phil left and walked around an asda for two hours

watching phil go from being locked in while looking at the hunky dudes teehee haha to then being very clearly deep in thought watching two characters tackle with not being out so much so he eventually turns to dan and asks him 'how does that make you feel about us?' because obviously their experience together as being closeted public figures who were also dating is so connected to these characters and their journey and that sparking dan to not only acknowledge the sadder parts of that era of their life together but also say the words 'we had each other' and 'we did a lot of fun stuff together' actually broke me

like for them to not only be this place where they feel comfortable enough to be out as gay and as a couple but also even talk about their past being closeted and how it impacted them back then just goes to show how far they have come since that era ...and i am just overwhelmed with pride and joy for them. while there's still more of this show to watch and form my opinion if it, i'm personally so grateful for HR giving us these lil nuggets of dan and phil being vulnerable in front of us in ways they never really have been before this hard launch era
