Holy crap, so I'm not a Clana shipper, I thought it was weird and pretty toxic the majority of the series but HOLY SHIT this episode actually hurt me.

The first time I've cried the WHOLE series. It was genuinely really sad and my heart hurt SO bad for Lana and Clark, like- Clark who is so so alone, his cousin the only other person that could really know him left but then Lana can, she genuinely can understand him. They can team up together, and he doesn't have to feel SO alone all the time. For not really shipping them they were really cute and fun to watch this episode, and most really fast changes in TV don't hit me that hard, Lana and Clark deciding for her to absorb the kryptonite from the bomb, and him never being able to be by her again, HURT me.

Also him putting her old necklace back around her neck earlier the same episode?!? The thing that used to keep them apart as a temporary thing, now turned so painfully permanent?!? Insane foreshadowing! Favorite Lana and Clark episode and I'm assuming it's their last.

Also the ending of him going to kiss her even as he's being poisoned by kryptonite was GUT WRENCHING.

LOIS AND CLARK GOT KIDNAPPED WITH A WEIRD LIE DETECTOR AND THE KIDNAPPER ASKED IF LOIS LOVED HIM AND SHE SAID YES!!!! YES YES YES YES MY DREAMS ARE COMING TRUEEEEE AND ITS ONLY SEASON EIGHT
