School starts Wednesday for me, and I am so scared you guys have no idea. 

Right now, I need to figure out what I’m doing. I need to limit my distractions. I need to focus on schoolwork. I’m going to be a junior, and it’s so absolutely terrifying to me I can’t even think about how to convey this to you guys.

I need to focus on my aerial, because there’s a very real possibility that I may be offered a job within the next year if I keep pushing and training as hard as I have been. A real job, my dream. I can do it. It’s so close–

I need to limit my distractions. Tumblr is a huge distraction for me-- always has been. So I’m putting Gray on hiatus, while I figure out my groove. I won’t be leaving him. I’ve gotten too attached to the little nugget to leave him just yet, and his muse hasn’t left, or anything, but I need space. I need to get my act together.

VIVA LAS VEGAS!

For the next week, I’ll be heading up to Las Vegas for a week of training, surrounded by the amazing artists of Cirque du Soleil! It’s really the most exciting week of the year to me, and it’s always great to see my mentors.

What this does mean, however, is that I will be without a computer, and likely wifi for a week, as well as extremely busy. The most you’ll see of me is some lurking, and possibly some inbox jumping later at night, if I’m not out on the strip watching some shows or hanging out with friends (or exhausted. That’s a possibility, too). I won’t be on skype, either, so I’ll be pretty much shut down for the week to focus on training. 

I do believe I’ve replied to most of my threads, and if I haven’t-- feel free to shoot me an ask. I’ll get to it when I get home!

“You are far too great a realist for one  your age. Where’s your sense of wonder  and adventure? There’s nothing fun about  someone who’s only drunk or seeking  attention. And magic isn’t a —a gimmick!”

             “like you would ever forget something like that. you              knew things like that before we even got here gray!”

   and in turn zayn knew things like that too. because he got to hear about    it all from his brother. he wasn’t a dino expert like him, but with all the    info he was being fed he was starting to become one. and hand came on    top of his head, ruffling his hair a bit.

            “alright alright, shoot away. but be sure you’re seeing             it all with your own eyes and not just the camera okay?”

   the last thing he wanted was gray to miss something awesome because    he was to busy taking pictures. though after ruffling his hair he looked to    where his twin had been, and was no longer standing there. he must of    gotten left behind with his face in the phone.

        “on another note though, we have seemed to misplace someone.”

“I will, promise!”

A small chuckle, nodding in response, before raising his camera to snap one more picture of the triceratops. A small bounce on his toes, turning back to ask Zayn if they could go ride one before his brother speaks. He blinks in response, squinting a bit and looking through the crowd. Huff in response to his missing brother, arms folding over his chest and frowning lightly.

“Isn’t that Zara lady supposed   to be keeping track of all three   of us?”

Okay, he’s a little bitter. He’s been looking forward to this trip since their mother even mentioned the idea, excited to see both his aunt and the dinosaurs. One of those excitements had already been spoiled, and now Zach had to go and ruin the other by getting lost?

“No, they shouldn’t.” 

She dropped her voice to a soft whisper, then let out a small, frustrated sigh. Anger slowly began to seep into her veins ( at Masrani, at the staff, at herself for not acting on her feelings and not even trying to take the damn park down ). So many lives could have been saved, if she had just tried a little bit harder. Not now, she reminded herself, and pushed self-loathing and guilt down on her mental priority list.

“Are you hungry, Gray? I can go grab you something. Do you need water? How bad is your leg hurting?”

Another small head shake in response to all her questions. His legs did sting, and was a little hungry, and at any other point he would have been thrilled to meet Doctor Ellie Sattler, but none of that seemed important right now. He wanted his family (Owen included), he wanted to go home, he wanted to try and forget that this trip ever happened, even though he knew that was impossible. The time spent on Nublar would haunt him for the rest of his life, and he was only twelve.

“Hey, G!”

Besides actually seeing her boyfriend whenever she visited, she loved seeing Gray. His enthusiasm rivaled Zach’s and Ally found it absolutely endearing. It made her wish to have a younger brother just as intelligent as him. The blond walked over and sat beside him on the couch, noting the book in his hand. She had the same copy. Ally brought out her bag and pulled out a perfectly wrapped gift.

“Hm? Oh, no, it’s alright. I think he’s busy. But I’m actually here for you. Go open it up!”

He sets the book to the side as she walks around the couch, settling back down. Brow quirks at the box she pulls out-- something for Zach, he’s pretty sure, since Ally is nice like that, and how moody Zach managed to get someone as nice as her to be his girlfriend, he’ll never understand-- wait. Blue eyes widen, smile only increasing as he glances between the girl and the box, gently taking it from her and pulling it into his own lap.

“Wait-- seriously? Am I missing    something? Is it some sort of   special occasion? Did I forget   my own birthday?”
