Becky’s hands are almost moving, almost to a point of hyperactivity. That’s why she likes art so much– it allows her to do something with her hands. If she isn’t doing something, she tapping her fingers, or playing with something, or reaching out to someone else. But they’re always in motion.
⏀ describe their usual smile
Before the war, this came too easily for her. She spent most of her life with a smile on her face, and she had dozens of different ones. The smile that said she thought you were ridiculous; one that meant she was in love; one that meant she was comfortable. It always started right in the corner. There was a small twitch before her lips pulled up, her teeth showing only when she was truly happy.
After the war, her smiles were fewer and further between. Sometimes, it was only the twitch in the corner of her mouth that alerted you to the ghost of a smile. Even after she regains those she’s lost, remembering how to smile so easily is something she simply hasn’t been able to do.
⇅ do they look up or down while thinking?
Becky looks up when she’s in thought. Eyes unfocused, staring at nothing in particular. It’s when she’s like this that it’s easiest to sneak up on her.
❧ describe their usual sleeping position
She’s so cold all the time– even in the summer. When she sleeps, it’s under heavy blankets, the sheets knotted around her as she tosses in her sleep. She’s never been a gentle sleeper, but now with more nightmares, she turns even more furiously. There are nights she doesn’t sleep at all.
✜ what’s their posture like in a normal situation?
It very much depends on who she’s with. When she’s with Bucky, or Steve, or someone who makes her very comfortable, her posture is relaxed, easy– fluid, even. Leaning against the wall, or other signs of feeling unthreatened. When she’s with someone she’s less familiar with, her arms are crossed either in front of her or behind her. She is standing straighter, and her feet are shoulder-width apart from her training with Bucky.
❤ describe how they show affection.
Sometimes, it’s simply a touch on the hand, or pulling them down so she can kiss their cheek. Sometimes, it’s pulling their arm around her. Other times, it’s simply a rare, loving smile. She shows affection in many ways– usually physically. She doesn’t trust her words to say what she means (or doesn’t know how to put them in words herself). She relies on her actions to betray her feelings.
