The post about Brad and the kind of people Harry Styles chooses to surround himself with reminded me of something. He attended Google’s summer camp for billionaires. That story’s been mostly scrubbed from the internet. If anything should’ve clued his fans in that he is out of touch and will never be someone who relates to them, that should’ve been it. Many people were disgusted by that disgusting display of wealth but for him and his fans, it was a bragging point. He’s still that person who remains good friends with idf recruiters and the likes of James Corden.
Also, he barely associates with people of color. Pauli is his employee and does not count. Side note, when Pauli got a little too free with his excitement onstage and was praised for it, Harry made sure to shut that down quick because it took attention away from him. Lastly, I think him dating biracial women was a pivot in reaction to him dating exclusively white women. Taylor Russell was the test - innocuous and inoffensive, but gave him a new dimension and opened a wider market of interest. Zoe, while not very likable, increases that demographic and media coverage. She also happens to be born into an elite class thanks to her famous father. He is not ever going to be someone who wants to associate himself with normal not wealthy or famous people, which is why his attempts at being authentic and humble always fall flat and feel fake. He hates that he has to perform a transactional show of interest in his fans. He is only truly comfortable and feels at home when surrounded by rich privileged people who echo his discomfort and contempt for people they think are beneath them.
oh 100% and the fact he only dates light skinned black women and despite dating them has ZERO interaction with black culture? so fucking suspicious. he also dates light skinned women who only seem to date white guys. again, suspicious!
