To live... that is the grandest adventure of all.
The Disneyland Resort DCP Spring '14 term has come to an end. It was an adventure; to live in close proximity to the Resort, to perform my duties as a Flight Agent at Star Tours, to make some of the most lasting friendships with some of the most amazing people I have had the pleasure to meet.
As a fare-thee-well note to my comrades, I scribed the following;
Yesterday was my final shift at Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. Over the past 7.5 months, I had the great opportunity to work with and get to know my fellow Cast Members. From my leads, to my trainer, to everyone in between. It has been my extreme pleasure sending guests off on Flight 1401 in our somewhat temperamental Starspeeders. It has been my joy to work with such a phenomenal cast. It has been an adventure; thank you -- each and every one of you -- for helping me to thrive and, most importantly, for being my friends. I will miss you all deeply, but lest you attempt to forget me, I shall return! I look forward to seeing you all soon. Stay sharp. Stay kind. Until we meet again.
Working at Disneyland was an adventure. Having the ability to work with such a great Cast influenced that adventure positively. Positivity is what I will continue to display as I move on to the next chapter in my life.
I thank every one person who helped me throughout my Disney journey; though I am sad my time at the Disneyland Resort has come to a close, I know that the world holds a grand adventure for my future. It shall be my honor to continue on this path and discover even grander adventures, seeking out new jobs, new acquaintances, and never forgetting where I came from.
I'll be back. Disney isn't something you can "quit," but rather take a brief recess from before returning home. All you need is a little faith, trust, and pixie dust; follow that second star to the right and straight on 'til morning. That morning will come sooner than ya think.
