The Final Countdown
The last week... It begins on Sunday (so in about 2 hours). I have 4 more workdays at the Disneyland Resort. I have 1 more off-day during my term of employment. And on Friday morning, I am leaving housing and driving up north to my new home. That was fast. Well. Something cool that happened this past week was being chosen as the Flight Agent of the Month!! I got a cool little blurb written about me up in the lead office and a unique, custom-made Tours-themed pin! It is such an honor to have been chosen for something I had no idea I was even in the running for. It's something I will cherish for a long, long time. I will truly miss my Tomorrowland (and Disney) family. My fellow cast members. My superiors. Being able to call someone a princess and not have them think me a lunatic. I'll miss it. I will. But life awaits. That's what happens, you know. Life. It just decides to happen while you're off making other plans. Well, life, here I come. Bring it on.
The second time I went to Disney was with my dad as a junior in high school over thanksgiving vacation in 2007. I had just turned 17 and had been dying to go back since I was 7! I remember when my dad offered to take me I didn't even believe him.. We flew to Tampa on Monday night and stayed with my Uncle. The next day we packed up dads Harley (he keeps it in Florida in the winters as an excuse to go on vacation I think ;) ) and rode 90 minutes to Disney where we stayed at the Dolphin hotel- which is super nice :) Our main goal was to hit the biggest thrill rides! We only had two days to do it so we chose to go to EPCOT (I had been DYING to try out Soarin') and Hollywood Studios. Both parks had short lines and weren't very crowded so we were able to walk onto our favorite rides multiple times! I loved re-living the magic that I remembered from 10 years earlier. And I was a lot less scared getting on the Tower of Terror too. Oh and I was just as star-struck by the characters :) remembering my first experiences at Disney Parks gets me super excited- I can't believe I'm moving there in less than a week! 4 days until we start the drive down and 7 days until check in for the DCP. This doesn't even feel real.
To introduce myself I’ll be doing a post about each time I’ve been to Disney :) My Disney history if you will. Starting with the first time I ever went when I was 7, post coming this afternoon!
Tell me guys will I get in trouble for accidentally submitting two applications because I couldn't log on and once I did the one I had done disappeared from my dash but after I did the second one and it took me back to the dash it showed the date of the first one
