It looks like we are a little late to the party but we're finally jumping aboard the DCP band wagon and starting up a blog! We'll go into details about the program here at the Disneyland Resort all in due time but firstly an small introduction should hold you over.

I'm Ella-Rose and I reside in the sunny state of California. Living a total of 5 hours away from Disneyland you would think I would have visited the happiest place on earth a few times but alas I've only made it a few times, my last being 7 years ago. My role is in the food and beverage as a custodial busser over at Tomorrowland's Pizza Port. I'm so excited to tell you all about our adventures but first let me introduce to you my counterpart.

Deanna is from Oregon and probably knows more about Disney than... well I can't think of anything that knows more about it than her herself so... Her role is attractions in California Adventure's Car's land at Luigi's tires. 

Hello all!

Today I decided to go shopping, so i drove to the mall and as soon as I parked I saw a lot of Facebook notifications. Upon checking these I saw that there had been an NLIC wave. Countless people posted in the Disneyland page and the Disneyland: Pending page. 

After seeing all of these posts, I was terrified! My heart was beating and I couldn't decide whether or not I wanted to check my email. On the one hand, I didn't want to ruin my day and learn bad news, but on the other hand, I really wanted to know what my fate was. 

At this point, I was sure that I would be opening my email to an NLIC message. So many other people in the groups had gotten them, so I was afraid that everyone who had been pended had been NLIC'ed. 

I opened my email, and had three new emails but none from Disney. I immediately got onto the Disney College Program website to check my dashboard; people in the groups had said that they did not receive an email, rather they had learned their status on the Dashboard. 

My dashboard still said "In Progress." I breathed a huge sigh of relief. For now, I am still in the running. But this waiting game is not getting any easier. I am getting more and more nervous to learn my fate.

The guy in the couple walked over to the Fantasia ear-hat and put it on on the other guy's head

and the couple-guy just said "kawaii"

and they both started laughing

I just completed my phone interview! I had Trisha and she was beyond amazing. I loved getting to speak with someone who had done the vacation planning role before. 

I think the interview went well. It lasted for 30 minutes, but probably would have been around 25 had I not asked questions (I asked four). Now I begin the waiting game! It feels so much better to know that it is out of my hands and that I have done the best I could do. 

Having such a great interviewer made me feel so sorry for those who didn't. If I hadn't of had such a high energy and excited interviewer, I would probably not have done as well. I am a strong believer in the idea that people feed off of other people's energy, so I was very lucky to have Trisha.
