When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Mainstream media and Special Interest don't give a rats @$$ about politics.

Just after Thanksgiving 2025, I weighed in at a whopping 268.8 pounds. The 2nd heaviest weight that I had ever reached in my life (My heaviest being 272.4 lbs on 01/01/2021). A month later, at the time of my annual physical on DEC 29th, I had managed to lose a few pounds and the doctor's office scale weighed me in at 259 lbs (117.5 kg).

WAY TOO HEAVY !

Even though I had gotten down to 221 lbs back in the Summer of 2021, I had been struggling over the past couple of years to keep the weight off; and even worse, it seemed like the harder I tried to lose weight the more I would gain. I needed help. Not just to lose weight, but to get my A1C and Type 2 diabetes under control.

But with all of the pain I have been in since my body started falling apart as a result of a fall from a 2nd story roof in DEC 2020, I just could not generate the physical activity to burn enough calories to achieve the caloric deficit necessary to kick start myself back on the right path.

That changed this past Spring, while I was trying to get myself and my body prepared for a Hip Arthroplasty - Full Right Hip Replacement. The first step was tackling my A1C. Second was tackling my cholesterol and lipids. The 3rd was to adopt a strict mindset of sticking to a high protein, low carb, diet.

My doctor prescribed Jardiance, Atorvastatin, and Mounjaro. That extra helping hand was just the kick start I needed.

In the past 90 days, I've gone from 254.2 lbs on MAR 13th to a current weight of 210.9 lbs. (-43.3 lbs) My A1C dropped from 8.1 to 6.6 within the first 30 days, and has since dropped to 5.3

My highest BMI in 2021 had been 35.9. My current BMI is 27.9. I know that is still technically "overweight," but if I were to lose any more weight, I would look like I was ill. At this point, I just want to maintain and focus on toning muscle.

I have been seeing a lot of recent posts on social media and around the web asking the question, "what is a man's equivalent to receiving flowers."

This might not be the case for all men, but to me the above post from my girl, to me, on facebook is one perfect example of what I consider "receiving flowers."

Acknowledgement. Being appreciated. Being seen. Knowing that even though I stumble through this crazy world wondering if I even make a difference, do I matter, and am I actually getting any of "it" right, that the one I love sees me and is telling me that the answer to all of the above self reflective questions is at least in that moment a resounding YES.

I know I'm not hitting the mark all of the time. But when I do, it really matters to me to know it, and it makes me want to keep trying to set the goal higher and higher.

Moments like this. Waking up to find a word of praise and appreciation from her, makes ALL the difference in the world to me.

FEELING LOVED 🥰

KHTR was a popular Top 40 "Hit Radio" station on 103.3 FM in St. Louis during the 1980s, broadcasting from late 1982 to 1988. In the summer of 1981, KMOX-FM began gradually evolving its format toward Top 40/CHR by adding more current hits to its playlist. By August 1982, the format transition was pretty much complete, and in December of that year, the station's call letters were officially changed from KMOX to KHTR.

Launched at midnight on December 20, 1982, "103 KHTR" quickly became the dominant "Hit Radio" station for the St. Louis region, playing the biggest contemporary pop hits of the 1980s. KHTR was consistently the No. 2 ranked station in the St Louis market, trailing only behind KMOX AM; having successfully unseated the previous king of the FM radio waves, K-SHE 95.

The very first song ever played on the newly branded station was "I Love Rock and Roll" by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The station was celebrated for its energetic hosts, "Hot Lunch Specials" (30 minutes of non-stop music), and its catchy jingles produced by JAM Creative Productions.

On Sundays, KHTR was the local station to broadcast Casey Kasem's American Top 40 (AT40), introducing listeners to new music as it entered the countdown, and sharing those listener didications.

Alisha and I saw Toy Story 5 at Marcus St Charles 18 theater this afternoon. I can't honestly say that it was my favorite in the series (Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 3 are still my top picks) but it was definitely a good and enjoyable movie.

Sony, and other makers of console game systems, are quickly learning that a larger than anticipated demographic of gamers would rather abandon the consoles and the brand than relinquish physical media.
