Loala Grace Addington [ hiatus ]

I’m not sure, personally, if I have much of a thought on character death myself – or rather; an opinion, as it were.

I mean, it’s always excellent to find a character dying for the greater good of the story, whether that plot be for good or ill for the overall hub – dramatic or otherwise.

Personally, I’ve never killed any of my characters, only shelved them or outright redacted their entire existence (which, in this case, I’ve only done to one character).

For Ollie’s death, I know I’d prefer it to be happy, if possible – or at least have her live a happy life from the point I created her, onward.

Ollie’s lived a life full of hardships. A life which has left her with severe, violent PTSD, and deeply seated emotional, and sexual trauma. So of course, now that she’s met @professor-bache, she wants to be by his side, and by his son’s side, who she sees as, essentially, her own child. She’d, of course, die to protect them.

Originally, when I first created her, Ollie didn’t view herself as worthy enough to live, and was just drifting by through life. She didn’t even few herself as worthy to fight anymore, so, for several years, she gave up the sword and lived quietly as an innkeeper.

But then she met @loalagrace, whom offered her a place in her Duchy. She came to manage The Violet Tap, and whilst there, it was revealed she had experience leading and commanding soldiers. She eventually took position as Proxy Commander of the Duchal Guard, begrudgingly, and on the sole prospect that, as soon as she found a commander fit to replace her, she’d step down.

She stayed by Loala’s side for a number of months, even offering herself as a guinea pig for a cure of a killer plague which had wracked the duchy – and nearly died in the process.

It wasn’t until she met her fiance, Garry, that she found the will to live again. Through him, she learned to love once more, and to, largely, forget her past, and the troubles that claimed her mind. They’ve fallen into a deep, nigh-inseparable love.

We’ve actually spoken about this matter OOCly a few times. But, if possible, I’d prefer Ollie to die of old age, with an aging, yet still youthful enough Garry at her side, now a silver fox – and their ‘son’ Selivar as well.

The story of Garry himself, following the events of Ollie’s death have not been found to be so light. Events which Garry can explain himself, so that I don’t spoil anything XD!

But, undoubtedly, with this new happiness and love Ollie’s been embraced with, she’s found the want to live again.

And……. I have 300 followers? Which is crazy and super flattering. I’m sorry I don’t really post anymore. I lost my muse for RP a few months ago and haven’t really been able to pick it back up. I love Olivia to DEATH!! It’s why I’m using her as inspiration in another project I’m doing.

LOL basically everyone i know who has been there since it was in the beta!! it’s in my own personal headcanon - which won’t change - that the addingtons are originally from Lordaeron (Loala is the 6th generation to be titled, but their name goes farther back than that). to me, addington doesn’t even sound like a name from kul’tiras…. anyway!! i’m thinking they’re probably related- after all, even my own addingtons don’t all live around loala anyway 💗
