Lesson number one of swordmanship, pose after defeating someone something something

• Sally Jackson is bisexual. Percy got it from her, not from Poseidon (kidding kidding, sexuality is not hereditary, but respect and support can be)

• Burly Black is a gay transgender bear. Seriously, we need to depict trans men as something other than 16-20 year old skinny fem-leaning nice-spoken twinks every once in a while. Burly’s a middle aged queer. AND he owns a coffee shop.

• Claymore has definitely Something going on, but he’s all too repressed and absorbed by his work to put a name to it. He’s due to a terrible sexuality crisis, post-mortem, and God forbid anyone ask him about his relationship with Burly. Some things are better left unadressed.

• Drew is an aromantic sapphic (lesbian? berrisexual?).

• Lou Ellen is a lesbian!!

• Nyssa is a transfem lesbian!!

• Piper is questioning her exact gender identity.

• Michael Yew was gay, unfortunately very deep into the closet.

• Jason TTC is bigender.

• Zoë is an ace lesbian.

• Kayla is aroace.

• Zane Carver (shoutout to those who read the Demigods of Olympus!) is demiromantic, demisexual and gay. Him and Sam definitely date when they’re older…

• Sam himself is pansexual, pun pretty much intended.

• Nathalie Chase is gender-nonconforming and probably genderqueer too.

• TJ is asexual and achillean. Alex helped him learn more about the LGBTQ community and find the right labels for himself.

• Magnus is bisexual, and I’ll keep saying that until people learn what being bisexual means and that he’s not canonically pansexual.

• Adrian, friend Alex lost to suicide, if anyone remembers, was transmasc agender to me, and he was in a qpr with her.

In fact, I’m so late that a back-up gift was already given to you… buuut, that one was a WRITING gift, and this one is an ART gift, so it’s basically a win-win for you all around! Worst-case scenario, if you despise this gift with all of your being (hopefully unlikely…?), you still have that other back-up gift to fall back on!

Without further ado…

Ta-da!! It’s The Teens™, hanging out in the winter! (If they look weird at all, it’s because I haven’t drawn Candace and Stacy in around a decade and this is literally my first time drawing Jeremy or Vanessa to my recollection.) Let me give you (yes, you specifically) a little insight into my creative process…!

-Jeremy and Candace are wearing their coats from Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation! (Which, now that I look at it… why is it called that? I mean, I suppose it is a vacation of sorts, in that it takes place during winter vacation, but they aren’t really traveling anywhere… I guess the only alternative would be something like “Winter Belongs To You”, so, I guess it’s not that big a deal.)

-Stacy only appeared in the aforementioned Christmas special in the musical sequence omitted from the syndicated version, “What Does He Want?”, wearing a Santa suit. (Jenny Brown was also wearing a Santa suit, but unfortunately she is currently making tiny snow cones for the pigeons and was unable to show up for this particular hangout.)

However, that was during a musical sequence, where outfits and the like can be considered non-diegetic (or, at the very least, a deviation from what the character would ordinarily wear), so I instead sourced her outfit from the flash-animated music video for the shortened version of “The Twelve Days Of Christmas”, found on the album “Phineas and Ferb Holiday Favorites”. Obscure, isn’t it? Search engine searching is quite OP.

-Surprisingly, Vanessa has not appeared in any Christmas episode til date. (Save for any theoretical Christmas outfit from Season 5B, because I haven’t finished it yet.) So, I gave her my own spin on a Christmas outfit! It was challenging, because Vanessa isn’t a character I’m too attached to in terms of how much I like her (for me, the show would be worse without her but she’s not a character I actively clamor to see on-screen… but, I do clamor somewhat to see Irving on-screen, so maybe I’m not the best person to ask about things like this), but I think I did an okay job!

I gave her a ushanka, because I think it just FITS so well, and I also gave her a faux fur coat. Doofenshmirtz would have given her both; the former just because he had it and then the latter with his “Winter-Outfit-Inator” that he was going to use to cover Roger in so much warm clothing that he fell asleep at his important winter business meeting, or something. I also thought it would be funny if she still hadn’t put together Candace’s Perry and her Perry were the same Perry. Genetics, and what not!

Also, here’s the drawing with a solid-color gray background! I don’t really know how to make it transparent without sacrificing the quality of it, but I tried to make the specific shade of gray disparate from the colors used in the drawing itself, as to enable YOU to make it transparent if so desired! I am just now realizing I probably should have watermarked the drawing in some way. Whoops…

…actually, that’s it for the drawing configurations.

But! I did have plans to do more! Doing little vignettes with all the characters individually, highlighting some moments I liked about them. Candace is my favorite character of Phineas and Ferb, but I don’t really draw… anything from Phineas and Ferb, oddly enough, and I wanted to draw her more. I wanted to draw Jeremy asking “What do you think it means when a girl leaves a fake mustache at your place?” to Coltrane, because it originates from the same episode the line “Can’t Dance Flynn” does (“The Baljeatles”… which I just NOW realized is a play on The Beatles oh my lord), since, you know, tis the gift recipient’s username, of course.

I was going to shoehorn Jenny into the Vanessa vignette (accidental alliteration!), because who doesn’t love Jenny Brown, sister to Django Brown; and as for Stacy… well… she’s a fun character. I would’ve come up with something cool, probably. Maybe I’d have drawn her with Ginger.

But, alas, I was hit with a severe blast from the Procrast-Inator, and didn’t want to punch above my weight when I was already starting the drawing so late. (I know that I already made an “inator” joke, but like… come on. Procrastinator already has the suffix built in, what else am I supposed to do, not make wordplay?)

Anywho…! Sorry for the rambling! Well… I don’t feel bad about it per se, but I don’t want to come off periphrastic. Or… circumlocutory. (That’s my word of the day! I really like that word.) But I do like talking about my art, and Phineas and Ferb, and consequently my Phineas and Ferb art! And I hope you had just as fun a time reading all of this as I did writing all of this, thy Flynn whose dancing capabilities are below-sufficient! And, anyone else who may be reading this, I guess it won’t just be you.

I was going to make a reference to a Phineas and Ferb joke I really liked to end this post off, but there are so many to choose from and there aren’t any I can think of that fit the context of this offhand, so, I guess this is the end of the post.

Like because Thomas didn’t fully know hoe wearing glasses worked, for a while if Right Brain and Left Brain took off their glasses they’d go from complete vision normally to completely blind and unable to see anything instantly. It only changed after Thomas was shown a video about how eyesight issues worked in late middle school that it changed.

And also because Vision, Right Brain, and Left Brain only had stable appearances when Thomas was a teenager because only Thomas knew them. Meaning Janus, Virgil and Remus fully just couldn’t control their appearance or what they looked like. Janus and Virgil didn’t look like anything, but because Remus was Roman’s ‘identical twin’ and most of the time that trope means identical in every way, Remus just looked exactly like Roman in every way, even down to clothing. Very uncanny valley if you ran into him because he sounds like Roman, looks like Roman, and dresses like him, but just isn’t.
