Hi, Good Omens fam, long time no see. I miss you! We're all still dealing with the finale and the fallout one way or another and this post is explicitly not supposed to be a place to argue about it in any way.

Understandably emotions are still running high, but no matter how you feel about it all, your feelings are valid! Hopefully there's still one motto we all agree on, so my Good Omens LEGO babies and I come bearing a little throwback to S1 as a gift for you.

These two want to bring you a little happiness in those hard times and hopefully make you smile with a little re-enactment of this famous moment.

They really did their best to get it as close to the original setting as possible, but please forgive any discrepancies. Almost 2000 years is a long time after all! 😉

A solo trip there was just what Aziraphale needed to lift his mood after being bombarded by the pink chocolate boxes and heart-shaped cards that Valentine's Day aggressively threw at him from every shop window. Self-care and self-love, that’s all Aziraphale wanted out of that holiday.

Enter Anthony J. Crowley.

The handsome, charming novelist who chatted Aziraphale up on the plane.

Well, nothing wrong with a holiday fling, after all.

Just for the week.

And he’d never think of Crowley again, of course.

Excerpt from chapter 6:

Crowley turned to look at him again and spoke in a little more than a whisper. “Hello. Fancy seeing you here.”

“Yes,” Aziraphale said, a quivering excitement oozing from his voice. “Was just passing and thought I’d stop by.”

Crowley leaned his head against the back of the sofa. “So, uh. Is um. Your room c-comfortable?” he asked and immediately bit his lips where a mischievous smile was threatening to make an appearance.

Aziraphale blinked. “Would you like to see it?”

A trip there -once the Christmas season was over and most tourists had left- was just what Aziraphale needed to lift his mood after being bombarded by all the pink chocolate boxes and heart-shaped cards that Valentine's Day aggressively threw at him from every shop window.

If he got chatted up by charming novelist Crowley on the plane, well that was just a little bonus. Nothing wrong with a holiday fling, after all. And if Aziraphale has kept going back to Rovaniemi (almost) every year since, well, it's only because it really is a beautiful city. Nothing to do with the fact that Crowley lives there.

Excerpt from chapter 5:

He picked up a copy and caressed the cover with delicate reverence. He had followed Crowley’s blog for the past year and a half and being a bookseller he had heard much about Crowley’s new book.

Having the book there, real, heavy in his hands, was a different matter, however.

It was Crowley’s. And it felt different to Crowley’s other books, for the mere reason that this had been written after Crowley had met Aziraphale.

The feeling was difficult to put into words. Ineffable.

He traced Crowley’s name with his forefinger, then opened the cover. There was a dedication printed on the first page.
