Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didnât do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

What A Beautiful Name - Hillsong Worship
hello, 2017.
As we think about the new year, what comes to mind?
Could it be the joy of starting a new?
Or could it be the fireworks?Â
As I reflect upon the significance of a new year;
I personally think that it is a new chapter waiting to be written.Â
It is a completely blank page in our records of life.
I canât help but to feel the adrenaline and excitement pumping through my veins as I ponder upon that.
Can you fathom the endless possibilities associated with the new year?
There is so much that can be done if you only open your eyes and seize the opportunities right ahead of you.
But above all, walk the adventure out with God. For only with Him does the adventure worthwhile.
Mortals make elaborate plans, Â Â but God has the last word.
Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; Â Â God probes for what is good.
Put God in charge of your work, Â Â then what youâve planned will take place.
Proverbs 16:1-3

The word âDriftingâ struck me pretty hard in the midst of Lifegroup discussion. This word popped into my head as the primary topic of sharing circulated around the belief that the time we have here on Earth is not for Me, Myself and I but rather it is for our Maker.Â
I reflected upon this very question âAm I merely drifting through life like a sail boat?â I honestly have never sat on a sail boat before so my knowledge in this area is definitely shallow but I believe that what I know about boats in general is sufficient enough to grasp the main concept behind this word âDriftingâ.
It wouldnât take much for anybody to recognize that a sail boat is designed for open waters. You clearly donât get a boat to sit on safe harbours. No, rather you let it loose into the vast expanse of the pristine waters. After setting sail from the harbours, boats certainly have a captain and this individual has the responsibility to set his boat onto a particular course. By hook or by crook, the captain directs this sail boat through the unpredictable waves and winds in order to arrive at his destination in due time.Â
In parallel context, I have come to a realization that indeed we are all like that sail boat. We all have a destination in built in us that we are designed to arrive at. And this is where the word âDriftingâ comes into picture. When we fail to steer and direct our sail boats (life) in the direction God intended for us, we end up drifting. This drifting is clearly based on choices made or rather failure to make Godly decisions which ought to be anchored on Godly beliefs. We will find ourselves âDriftingâ when we fail to cease the opportunities of life; allowing circumstances to dictate who we are; when we let others decide how we ought to live our lives (obviously not in a good sense); and the list goes on.
Thus, I have arrived at a major conclusion.
Everything we do in our lives have to be intentional and purposeful. We cannot allow âDriftingâ to become part of our lives. What shall we answer when we stand before the Believersâ Judgement and only to realize we have set our lives on auto-pilot?Â
No. There would be nothing but regret. So I suggest, why not become intentional and purposeful. Plan your life. Set goals. And most importantly invest time into the Kingdom of God
Hope ainât always easy to find; And sometimes I wonder whether itsâ forgotten me; But, it hasnât.
It isnât always in the headlines; or on the tv screens or in the faces of success; No, hope waits in the shadows; And it shines brightest in the dark and broken places; In restless pursue of the lonely and forgotten. And the songs we sing, we canât find the words; Why do we sing? Is it for them? Is it for us? Is it because weâre human? Do we sing about what we know or we donât? Do we sing when weâre happy? Or only when weâve come to the end of ourselves? Wondering how could we ever move forward; Or maybe, both;
Maybe we sing because weâre wounded; Maybe we sing because hope deserves an anthem; Maybe we sing because the wound is where the light shines through.

The LONG AWAITED SUMMER has ARRIVED. While, itâs indefinitely a belated post in regards to this matter but I believe today would be a good time to start to pen down my thoughts through this season of non-studies-filled student life.Â
In essence, my holidays would last from May till Mid August. So for all your calculative individuals out there, it comes out to about 4 months or so. And then the most probable question out there would be this,âSo Dharmen, since you have so much time. What would you be doing with it?â However, I think I wouldnât be answering this question in this post because there is some context to why I am doing what I am doing.Â
I strongly believe that I want to use this holidays to serve God and people. So Iâm praying for greater revelation of what God deserves of me and how I can use my giftings to serve Him :)Â
Until next time....
Cheers.
P.S Sneak Peek; I would be sharing how I am spending my 4 months in my next post haha  Â
After a rather short 1 week of break, it seem like it is time to go back to school.
The next 7-8 weeks are really going to be the most challenging period in every school terms. With finals approaching that means, formal reports, assignments submission and EVEN more quizzes.
Reading 2 Timothy was really timely for me. I was really frightened about the upcoming period because of the little time I have. And the following verse just jumped out and smacked me in the face.
 âFor the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.â 2 Timothy 1:7
As I was reading 2 Timothy, Timothy was indeed having challenges with regards to leading his Church which was entrusted to him. But Paul kept encouraging Timothy to look at Paulâs life as an example. His life served as a fine example about Christian Leadership and Mentorship. Timothy must have been struggling with certain issues and fear could have been choking him and preventing him from doing the ministry which God had called him to do.Â
In the same way, I was reminded not to focus on this fears. But rather to focus on what the Spirit of God has given to me. Which is power to overcome, love to build and self-discipline to focus. Â
