had a dream that jthm got an animated short film for the anniversary, woke up broken hearted that it was not real 😭💔
the film started with devi, dont remember why but she was being hunted down in a very IZ kind of fashion by random jv style beasts/demons but she was very clever and kept getting away.
she finally got caught and got put in some crucible thing in HELL, camera pans to outside the structure and there are lots of random demon/people with hoof like boots and the crowd went nuts knowing johnny was coming 😵💫😵💫😵💫
we finally saw him for a minute getting into some dumb shit with another couple of randos, (fell down in a heap dont remember if they were fighting or what) and he had his antenna hair so that was funny
BUT I MISSED THE END OF THE MOVIE IN-DREAM because devi got away and bolted through the "theater" and we said fuck it and ran after her
we lost her and also got lost, once we made it back the film was over but jv was signing shit (it looked like small scripts of scenes from the film as well as doodles of devi and johnny...) and thanking people for coming so we got in line just in time to score a couple (i was with my husband i think whwvwhwb) and i told him how exciting this all was and updated him on the zine 😵💫😵💫😵💫

i don't mean to bother you, but do you happen to have a solid/block color reference for devi's hair in IFS? i feel like every panel it's a slightly different shade, excluding how lighting plays into it. I think vol 1 it starts more purple & fades to a magenta by vol 2?? 😵💫 i'm starting my zine entry & i'd love a consistent color reference.

this is definitely not official, but if it helps at all, these are the colors that i use for her! :] the purple definitely starts to fade into magenta by issue 2 (which might be plot relevant, or could just be palette choice), so you could use whichever shade suits your fancy
i actually used to use the bottom one religiously for almost all my drawings in 2019-2021, but that was because i often shaded her hair in with pencil, so the color couldn't be too dark or it wouldn't show 🥴🥴
most accurate block pallet.
theres major problems with SLG printing. so the "fading" colors could be a printing error. for example i have one copy that leans more blue. the back cover especially was majorly tinted blue making devis hair more violet then the magenta then shes suppose to be.
shadows, base and highlight. book 1 vs book 2, which does change for the darker more urgent tone.
