“Lofi beats to draw to during the pandemic”
During this pandemic I’ve spent alot more time at my desk. Between classes and assignments this gave me more chances to draw. now I did little doodles and sketches on paper, but I churned out more digital art as well. Â
My reverse painting is capturing this, and a homage to the “lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to” stream on YouTube. The sketch was digital (of course it was), which I made on a video call with some artist buddies.  I left the window in my room transparent . so I could put something in the background later if I wanted. I tried my hand at cel shading but it did not come out as I expected. I used fewer shades and more sparingly. The acrylic colors didn’t quite come out the way I expected them to.
Overall I’ll probably do more reverse painting in the future, and heck I might just make my own frame.
This is really cool. I like all the little detail you put into it like the shadows and highlights, etc.Â
Plexiglass Painting
During the pandemic I’ve been very observant of the night sky. I like watching the stars and sometimes I look for the moon to see where it is. I drew a tree because my mom recently bought a tree that she really likes and it’s really beautiful, however I’m not really that good at drawing trees. Then the three colors of pink, light blue, and then dark blue is supposed to represent the time of day when the sun is setting and the sky sometimes turns pink and then the night time comes. The sunset is also something I’ve been very observant of.Â
This is Ernest Chang. He is a Chinese-American multidisciplinary artist with deuteranopia (red-green color blindness). He has his own studio in Hong Kong. When doing my research on him I found out some very interesting things about him. For instance, he was raised in a bi-cultural family. He was born in Tampa, Florida and moved to Hong Kong at a young age. He works in mixed media and tries to blend traditional Chinese art and history with contemporary culture in his artworks. Here’s the final outcome of my painting! Getting the colors to match was a little bit challenging, and somehow the yellow dried up and it looks kind of different. Overall, I enjoyed this assignment and thought it came out better than I expected although the colors and the painting are better appreciated in person!
This looks amazing.Â
Discord Abstract Painting
This is my discord abstract painting. I did two pairs of discord colors, which are blue and green, and purple and some type of red. I think they match pretty well.Â
Discord colors
For the first pair of discord colors I wanted to do blue and red. But when I checked if they were the same tone or saturation it didn’t match so I added a bit of the blue to make it a bit darker and it turned into violet so I stuck with violet. As long as they both had the same tonal value was all that mattered to me. Then the second pair of discord colors are purple and orange. Again those weren't the colors I wanted to work with, but I was happy with the end result.Â
Abstract Paper Collage
Above are some compositions of shapes that I have created. I didn’t really know what I was really supposed to be doing so I just let my mind go wild and started to place shapes all around and see if something would be created out of it. Then I realized that I would most likely have to paint this so then I tried something more simple, which were the colorful squares.Â

Collage Painting
This is really cool. I like the colors that you chose.Â
Warm Cool Color Invention
This is my warm cool color invention painting. I’m not very good at drawing or painting figures and animals, but I tried my best. I based my collage on fantasy because I really like fantasy, unicorns, royalty, etc.Â
This is the process of my found image collage. Even though I had a general idea of the color pallete that I wanted, as I was painting I began to add more colors that I felt would work well, and it ended up coming out better than expected.
This is really fantastic. The colors are really nice and the details are amazing as well. You did a really good job.Â

My Collage
This is my collage. I wanted it to be based off of fantasy. I didn’t really know what to choose to make a collage but then as I started to think of some ideas I remembered that I really like fantasy so I decided to go with that.Â
