this whole time we’ve been fixated on “A sudden rainstorm forces them together beneath a canopy” and yes that’s obviously referring to Crowley & Aziraphale sheltering each other at the start of both seasons, BUT what we never actually see is them together under a canopy. They’re always protecting the other person. There has not been time or opportunity for them to look into each others eyes and “vavoom” or whatever the fuck Crowley was on about, because they’re always too fixated on protecting, rather than working together to protect themselves as a group of the two of them. Big old metaphor for their whole relationship :(

Danm books. So easy to start a second book with a chapter of “well random things happened and it sucked, but A & C broke up so here we are now.” Or here we are now w/ flashbacks sprinkled in the story now and then.

ohhhhhh I truly cannot get over the EVIL GENIUS of having crowley make a point of immediately taking his sunglasses off every time he's in the bookshop or alone with aziraphale this season, showing just how comfortable he's become showing his emotions and his vulnerability to aziraphale since season 1, opening himself up completely at every opportunity, showing us a side of him that's remained almost entirely hidden for millennia, only for him to silently and purposefully put his sunglasses back on immediately once aziraphale rejects his love confession. like, bravo gaiman, I saw what you did there and I'm never going to fucking recover from it. well done

i'm an aspiring problem.

I ended up having a really interesting conversation with some people at the bus stop today. They were getting out of some sort of ‘clean and sober’ meeting and had starting saying how they were so bored because they didn’t have anything to do, and had to stay at home because all their old friends would pull them back. So I said something like, ‘So this is the time to do all the stuff your parents told you they didn’t have money/time for!’ “Whatcha mean?” “You know, like when you were five and you REALLY wanted to have that toy or do that thing and you were like, ‘Please mom please I gotta have this I gotta go do this’ and they went ‘Hell no you think I’m paying for that do you want to goddamn EAT?’ “ And this light went on in their eyes. The lady is going to go check thrift stores for an Easybake Oven and I told her about Wilton cake decorating classes. The dude is going to Griffith Park and ride horses, because, ‘I always wanted to be a cowboy, and you can’t drink when you’re on a horse ‘cause you’ll fucking die!’ Fuck it. This is what being an adult is. Sure it’s bills and work and relationships, but damn it, it’s also time to do the things you LIKE. I signed up for a free class/lecture on Water Gardens. I’m going. It’s time.

enjoying yourself is a good thing

truly the greatest moment of my adult life was realizing i don’t need my parent permission or a big event to go to the grocery story and buy a cake. it doesn’t need to be anyones birthday or anniversary or promotion. i don’t have to ask anyone if i can get it. it can just be a tuesday and i can go to the grocery store and spend $8 on a mediocre cake and eat it in my room while i file my taxes and do other adult things. i also started buying those little die cast pull back toy cars again because fuck it i like them. buy cakes and toys. makes life more fun
