There's a culture surrounding medicine that we should only treat a patient if they have a diagnosis, rather than looking at the individual and treating them alongside doing investigations . . Pain and symptoms are often seen as invalid by some doctors if you are undiagnosed; "it's all in your head because you don't have a diagnosis and all the tests are coming back negative." . . The reason we seek a diagnosis in the first place is because we are suffering in some way or another.
