sometimes bad things happen to people because they are men with a uterus. and it is crazy to go on a post about a specific horrible crime that is happening to a specific group of people and scream “BUT WHAT ABOUT THIS OTHER GROUP” like yes thats also bad but we are talking about a specific bad thing can we please stay on topic

How my forced detransition was treated in pen is very diff than how one of my trans masc friends was treated.

They are similar, use the same tactics most of the time even, but both groups suffer in different ways.

There are support groups for trans felons and most trans women get put into solitary their entire stay and are not allowed in genpop.

For trans men, they are often forced into gen pop of the afab prison and tend to get assaulted very quickly unless they are willing to take on very specific roles within the hierchy. Which usually requires the use of the body as a resource.

In addition the threat and use of rape against trans men doesn't just end once they release. Their PO may demand it or else harass them. Other cops may demand sex in exchange for not making up a charge.

Don't get me wrong, all that stuff happens with trans fem felons too, but we don't also have the risk of pregnancy on top of that and we can get back on hrt.

Being a felon makes it harder to get back on T. And don't get me started on finding a job as a felon mixed with finding a job when AFAB mixed with finding a job when non white.

Though I have no hard data for this, almost all the trans masc felons I've met over the years have been non white while it's been much more mixed for trans women (though only the white folk make the news)
