Putin is not invading Ukraine to fight antisemitism.

Let us be absolutely clear: Putin is invading Ukraine for power and land.

Putin is the aggressor here. Not the Ukrainians.

REMEMBER, Ukraine did not invade Russia. Russia invaded Ukraine. Putin and the Russian Army are the aggressors here—if they don’t want bloodshed and violence, all they need to do is stop advancing, turn around and leave Ukraine.

I am not wishing victory to any “ideology.” I am wishing for a peaceful end to hostilities that Russia started, with as little bloodshed as possible.

I am wishing there was no war, and there would be no war if Putin stopped advancing, turned around, and left the Ukrainian people in the peace which he found them enjoying.

I am wishing victory to the Ukrainian people who are being invaded by a modern day thug and dictator, Vladimir Putin.

I am wishing for an end to imperialism, whether it comes from America, Britain, France, China or Russia. It so happens to be coming from Russia just now, so yes, I am speaking out against it, and I am trying to amplify the voices of the Ukrainian citizens who were peacefully minding their business until Russia invaded them. Is that okay with you, anon?

That all said, are we supposed to believe that, through the goodness and purity of his heart, Putin and his advancing army are free of Nazis and Nazism?? That Ukrainians are the Fascists, and Putin’s invading army is ….. what? The innocent good guys? Is that really what I am supposed to believe??? Please.

I am taking great care not to malign the Russian PEOPLE here, because even as a middle class American Black man, I probably have much more in common with the average Russian citizen than I do with the politicians in the Kremlin and their army.

Look, I am not naive enough to believe that Ukraine doesn’t have any anti-Black racists, or that they don’t have any antisemites. But I dO know that Russia (and America!, and Canada, and every European country) also has the same in its military, in its police forces, and in its national, state and local governments. And getting back to the point, it is Russia that is the aggressor here. And again, Russia is not fighting for “peace” or to end antisemitism in Ukraine, okay?

If you’re in America, then you are surrounded by racist police forces every single day, just like I am. Yes, saying “that’s not a good feeling” would be a massive understatement.

My working assumption in life is that every country has anti-Black racists and every country also has antisemites. I am not saying that’s okay, obviously. If I could do a Thanos snap and get my wish, I would undo that in a heartbeat. But until then, at the very least, I’ll settle for them living in their respective countries without starting wars to colonize their enemies.

Also, there are Jewish people living in Ukraine, who are Ukrainian born citizens, who do NOT want to be at war. What about them?? Do they not count?

Look, you are on anon, so I have absolutely no idea if you’re a longtime follower as you say, or if you are someone who is on the clock being paid to push this false narrative that everyone should be against Ukraine because they’re uniquely antisemitic (they aren’t). But either way, do whatever you feel like you need to do. If that means unfollowing me, that’s cool af.

I’ll close by wishing the citizens in the country that was peacefully minding its own fucking business (hint: that’s Ukraine) a safe night and victory, over the aggressor army that did the imperialistic invading (hint: that’s Russia).

That protesters, right now, in Russia, are heroes, protesting in Russia is like a fucking gamble, and everyone gathering right now in the cities, HUNDREDS of people protesting, they know this war isn’t worth it, and it’s good.

If you think your nice little European country won't suffer the consequences....well, idk what to say to you except that "wow God how I wish that were me".

Even if the conflict doesn't spread outside of the two forces involved, we're going to have a never-before-seen energy crisis, because Europe isn't self-sufficient when it comes to energy, I know for a fact that my country gets 99% of its energy (oil, gas) from Ukraine so prices on everything, from gas to food to literally every single thing that needs gas or oil for its transport and/or production, are going to skyrocket. People WILL starve. Families that are living almost paycheck to paycheck (hi, haha, that's me), are going to be left with fucking NOTHING. And honestly mine is NOWHERE near the worst case, not when I know families from friends or relatives who are already on the brink of starvation as it is.

And all that? It will lead to civil unrest, to riots, because people will be desperate. And not just in Greece. Yes, smaller poor South and Eastern countries will be the first to be affected, but don't for a second believe the UK or France or Denmark won't also suffer the consequences.

So, yeah, Americans shut the fuck up and stop joking with might very well be a nightmare for all of us, with what already is a nightmare for Ukrainian people (and Russians, like idk call me crazy but I don't think regular Russian citizens want a fucking WAR after two+ years of a pandemic). The US won't suffer SHIT, especially now that they decided not to intervene (good call honestly, nobody wants a nuclear holocaust). You'll be fine. But others won't be, so no, you don't get to "cope with gallows humour", because you're not the one in the gallows right now. Stay in your lane and respect people, especially Ukrainians, when they tell you you're being insensitive as fuck.
