Derek looked uncomfortably surprised for a long moment before he finally said, “Yes please.”

Oh LOL probably something like "Hmm might be time to just flee the country."
156. What is your favorite way to start a story?
With something happening. Not always like, action, but SOMETHING is different for the characters then. Or sometimes absolutely nothing is happening and that's the difference! Especially in longer stories I like this. Shorter ones i don't think too much about it but it's probably similar? Anyway, basically I enjoy starting stories when things are about to change, big or small!
