I Dearly Love A Laugh

You know how people talk about scenes that stay with them? This scene stays with me... why? Because it’s a Microwave of EVIL, clearly it’s intended purpose is to do evil things, like...REHEAT RAVANGE! 

You know that moment, that moment when everything is fine and then you try to take a breath and you can’t. Pain. All you feel is pain, stabbing you in the chest. Halting the air from your lungs. A moment, an hour, a lifetime. 

Memories can be like that. 

And that’s ok.

It’s ok to look back. It’s ok to remember the pain. It’s ok if you can’t breathe for a moment. But don’t stay there. Be gentle with yourself. Give yourself that moment for the pain to fade. And then....breathe.

Don’t live in the pain. Don’t live in the past. Don’t stay in that cage. 

You’re worth more than that.

Let time heal you. Cut all the chains that bind you to that abuser, even the ones in your mind. Let the wounds heal. Let yourself learn to laugh again. Let yourself look at that pit of darkness and walk away. Let yourself spend time on those who matter, time on things that matter, time on what is positive. 

Let yourself be better. Better than they were. Better than you were back then. 

No net ensnares you, no cage holds you, no chains bind you. You are free. Be free.
