my best feature is that I'm blindingly intelligent for about 30 seconds a day
I do not get to choose which seconds. they are not consecutive
Gotta love the dude bros in the tags that are like âYour appearance makes your opinions lose valueâ or the Doge meme that just flat out says âSpeak when spoken to, woman.â
highly recommend blocking ppl just because u don't like their vibe. even if they seem nice and haven't done anything wrong, but you just don't like them for reasons you can't articulate? slam that block button. your experience on this website will be improved for it. blocking isn't a moral judgment its just a way to exercise control over your space
I mean, yes, but also consider that people who have RSD, self-esteem issues, and/or a history of bullying/ostracization can be severely triggered by getting blocked for no reason. It can send people into spirals of overanalyzing what they could have done wrong and drowning in feelings about how theyâre terrible and everybody hates them. Spirals like that can last for hours or days and be extremely debilitating. While I understand the intent here of curating your own space and making your experience as stress-free as possible, you need to understand there can be consequences of that that youâre totally unaware of. And if you donât feel you should have to worry about other peopleâs mental health or you donât have the energy to, thatâs fine, block away, but this is something I think needs to be said and not nearly enough people understand or consider.
hi! if you come into my space and make me uncomfortable Iâm completely within my rights to remove you from my space and donât owe you any explanation. I have adhd and struggle with rsd and I know what itâs like but Iâm going to be completely blunt - if a stranger on the internet who youâve never interacted with blocks you, and that sends you into a spiral, thatâs not their fault and is something you need to discuss with a therapist. it is not my problem, just like my reaction to being blocked is not your problem. itâs really, really not cool to make your symptoms and your disordered thinking other peopleâs responsibility
Every day my joints are shocked and disgusted that I would use them for their intended purpose.

Say what you want about tiktok but the trend of writing the captions onto the video? Thatâs super helpful/inclusive for deaf/HH people (and even people who donât speak a language natively etc) and I just think thatâs kinda cool.
So many platforms have videos that arenât accessible to people, but itâs become the norm on tiktok to caption the videos and thatâs pretty nice. Also since the captions are actually on the video, that means when it gets reposted to other websites it is still accessible!
More than that, TikTok has been a pretty impressive platform for D/deaf & HoH activism. TikTok has no decent captioning services built into the platform, and so TikTokers have been putting immense pressure on TikTok as well as other platforms like YouTube to improve their captioning tools.
Success is mixed, but it has created an uptick in awareness around D/deaf & HoH needs, and itâs fucking fantastic to watch. Iâve personally seen countless tutorials on things like how to create captions, how to sign basic vocabulary in multiple different sign languages, and videos all about the ways that platforms such as TikTok and YouTube are rendered needlessly inaccessible to all kinds of people.
Disability TikTok is fuckinâ awesome.
cannot wait for the 6th when only parler proud boys and no antifa show up in black bloc and the proud boys shoot a few of their own before the fbi swoops in

I AM BEGGING YOU TO HELP SAVE DUSTIN HIGGS
Dustin Higgs is a Maryland based artist on Death Row for a crime he did not commit -
He was convicted and sentenced to the federal death penalty as an accomplice to the 1996 murders of Tanji Jackson, Tamika Black and Mishann Chinn. It was the first federal death sentence handed down in Maryland in the modern era.
Dustin was not the person who actually shot the three women. Nor was he an accomplice. In fact, it was Willis Haynes who pulled the trigger, and he was sentenced to life in prison plus 45 years after a separate jury spared him the death penalty for the crime. With the resumption of federal executions in 2020, Dustin's life is at serious risk.
He is sentenced to be excecuted on Jan 15. 2021. 3 days before MLK Day and just 5 DAYS BEFORE THE NEW FEDERAL ADMINISTRATION IS PUT IN PLACE
Please if you have just one second or one spec of human decency, click these links.
Help save an an innocent man.

whatâs with the weird stigma that being closeted is okay but only if it would be physically unsafe for you to come out? coming out is YOUR business, if you know it would be fine & nothing would happen to you & nobody would care, but you donât want to anyway, thatâs your choice and itâs perfectly valid.
reminder to not infantilize adults just because their personalities are softer/they have a kind heart/theyâre sensitive or anything like that.
just because someone is softer or a bit more sensitive doesnât mean that you have to treat them like a literal child. itâs honestly kind of demeaning and yâall need to stop doing it.
u all ever lose the ability to socialize in the middle of a convo like.... ok iâm done now thereâs no more words in here brain shutting off
i have zoom calls with my therapist (cuz covid) and sometimes i just â...đ¶...â in the middle of a sentence and i feel kinda bad cuz i do that a lot. iâm unaware how to act like a real human, incase i havenât mentioned before
Anybody else, maybe with ADHD, see something but not SEE it?
Like as I was closing the fridge I saw the garlic and was like âoh yeah I have to put garlic in the stewâ and when I reopened the fridge ten seconds later I had to search around for the garlic because I hadnât SEEN it.
Just now Iâm at a craft store, I saw the word âadhesiveâ but I didnât SEE it so now Iâm trying to find it again, a literal 2 seconds after I saw it.
Yes! It's a mix of visual clutter and lack of object permanence. Your brain says "you saw it, no need to show you again" and leaves you crying in the grocery store trying to find cheese
Me: please god I just want to finish dinner
My brain: you may witness the presence of garlic ONCE
Me: oh hey hereâs that thing you need
My sister: where?
Me: ... excellent question
bored. might swollow a kinder egg like a snake just because
This is what the FDA thought everyone would do if they allowed kinder eggs in America

If you experienced trauma in childhood or had a rough childhood, dude listen to me. Offer yourself play. You were deprived of it.
Keep bubbles in the house, blow bubbles in the yard, blow them in your room, get a coloring book that doesnât have to be an adult one with mandalas, watch cartoons, laugh at stupid things, dress up as a superhero for Halloween, wear a Santa hat on Christmas and big light up snowflake earrings, lay down on the floor, lay down in the grass, eat eggos for dinner sometimes. Itâs not stupid. Youâre not childish. Youâre giving your inner child what they had taken from them. They deserve it.
I don't want to derail this post because it's an important message, and OP has addressed it to the people who most need to hear it. But... can i just add, for people who don't feel like they can give themselves permission to do this, that you can give yourself these things even if you didn't overtly experience trauma in childhood?
Even if you never thought of your upbringing as painful or malicious, you can and should still give yourself things you missed out on. Take that class! Learn that skill! Eat the foods you like, or branch out into new ones! Jump in piles of leaves and decorate your walls the way you want them.
Give yourself the things you couldnt have as a kid, especially if you didn't really get to have a childhood, but even if you didn't have the childhood you wanted. Go for a bike ride with friends. Go stargazing. Whatever it was that you feel like you missed, it's important to seek those things and remember that play and joy aren't exclusive to childhood.
I donât think you derailed this at all and think this was a really thoughtful addition. So thank you!
Im in fucking tears rn
Even if you had the best childhood ever and you still like doing those things, do them. There are no rules, so why not enjoy yourself
