Meet Moragnethe, Our Lady of the Crossroads, the 13th Angel of the Eiriene, daughter of the moon goddess Lumeria (pictured below).

Lumeria, the moon goddess, champion of women, mother of the Eiriene, the twelve warrior angels who were said to protect omegas and dispense justice to those who abused them.

This is an excerpt from Chapter 2, but it describes some of the deities in the pantheon I created to represent the Old Gods of the Continent (as opposed to the Followers of the Book, who represent Judeo-Christian-coded beliefs).

Will looked up at the unknowable cosmos. A star fell, and then another. What was a prayer but a wish? 

He’d been so young when his mother had taught him the rhyme to wish on stars. It was one of his first memories of her. Now that he thought about it, the little song was no doubt a holdover from pagan times, a prayer to Lumeria, the moon goddess, champion of women, mother of the Eiriene, the twelve warrior angels who were said to protect omegas and dispense justice to those who abused them.

Lady, lady, gown of stars, I’ve caught your diadem that fell, In the night, the darkened hours, Restore your gem and wish me well. I wish… I wish…

I wish to be happy one day. Truly happy. “Well?” Georgia leaned over and stroked a curl across his forehead, her expression tender in the half-dark. “Did you make a wish?” He smiled up at her even as tears pricked his eyes. “Of course,” he said. “Just because I’m an atheist doesn’t mean I don’t… understand the instinct to pray. To beg for miracles.” 

Hannibal is a "devout" worshipper of Moragnethe, using her cult to make sacrifices and "burnt offerings" in her name. He's convinced himself it's because he needs a cover for his cannibalism, but his destiny seems to have caught the Corpse-Angel's attention, and she grants blessings to her favored high priest.

I have also learned how to post images on Ao3, and I'm kind of obsessed. I'll be posting a little Canva creation for each chapter with some images I used for inspiration. I will NOT be using AI on Canva and all the images I've gathered are (I hope) real photos. I get Canva for free through my job, and I'm abusing it for all the lovely fannibals out there who are visual animals!

Here is the creation for Chapter 1!

The first act of my Frankenstein AU has concluded with 12-year-old Will leaving Castle Lecter. Act II begins years later, when Will is nearing 20, and lives with his father and stepmother outside of Geneva, Switzerland, along with his step-siblings, Walter and his cousin Molly.

Despite having walked in on Will embalming/dissecting her beloved father figure Don Felipe the day they met, Molly and Will have grown close over the years. She is a loving, steady presence in his life.

If only he could stop thinking about Hannibal Lecter and the summer they spent together in Lithuania...

I've been obsessed with the idea of the "Dark Angel" in Del Toro's Frankenstein, which I envision serving a similar purpose to the Ravenstag in Hannibal -- embodying Will's darker urges, and representing his connection to Hannibal. This Dark Angel, like the Stag Man, wears the face of his friend, though it is initially hidden behind Death itself.

This is the final chapter of Act 1 in this saga, where Will is forced to say goodbye to the strange young man with whom he's forged a powerfully formative bond. Will they survive the separation?

I'm almost finished with my Hannibal/X-Files crossover fic, The H-Files! This story began as a Patreon request and has been sitting in the WIPs for a looooonnnngggg time. I'm going to edit and re-release the existing chapters and then post the new ones that will, at last, bring this "out-of-this-world" story to an end... of episode 1, that is! My god, could you imagine re-writing the ENTIRE X-Files season 1 as Hannigram? Remember, children, this was back when television series aired weekly on TV, you couldn't record it or pause it, you had to race to the bathroom during the commercials, and TV series had something like 22 TO 24 EPISODES A SEASON!

Suffice to say, I will not be undertaking such an endeavor, but it's tempting to flash the narrative forward and perhaps revisit this universe, incorporating some of my favorite episodes and moments vs. trying to include everything. Yes, I'm thinking what you're thinking. A version of "Home", the all-time greatest episode of this long-running series.

Anyway, since I've been working with @ondust I've learned how to incorporate pictures into fics, so here are some images I might use as I edit The H-Files!
