I’m currently working on The One Where Addison and Derek Get Divorced chapter, and I can’t stop thinking about how Derek gets praised for giving Addison both the brownstone and the house in the Hamptons, when...no. She doesn’t need the money, and it’s not like she had any intent to live in either place, so really...it’s a punishment. It’s the opposite of selfless. And it really drives his indifference home. There’s no way Derek lifted a finger when it came to going through their possessions (surely there were things he WANTED or at least had an attachment to, including items in both homes - especially the brownstone - that pre-dated Addison/the marriage) so that Addison could get the places ready to sell, etc. What a thing to dump on someone.

Is this writer’s block or just pure laziness: the evil-redhead story.

You know, some of my favorite fics are abandoned.  And yeah, I wish they weren't  abandoned, but it doesn’t change the fact that I love them.  I certainly don’t wish they’d never been written.  Just saying, for those of us with dangling fics we guilt ourselves over.  It’s still better that you wrote what you wrote.

Another Grey’s episode where everything in the promo is so wildly out of character, from what Addison is wearing to how she speaks and what the specific dialogue is? Can’t wait to have to sit through this shit again. 🙄
